yea dipshit ur right.......GGG made a fornicating killing over here right out of the gate. Guys take a pay cut to fight in the states so they can get world wide recognition then make the big bucks later. U've taken the title and the biggest douchebag on the forum this past week or so. Talk shit and put fighters down that would put in the morgue.

Go thru some top fighter careers, unless they're gold medal winners or have records like 396-1 like Lomachenko,Rigo,Usyk etc.......they usually don't have a killer resume their 1st 18 pro fights. I'm not saying its right I'm just say thats how it is.

U mentioned Cleverly.......beat nobody his 1st 18 fights.....same with Bellew. Cleverly still hasn't beat anyone and he won a bogus title and defended the damn thing, yet still has no wins.......but u'll defend him tho right???? British ballhuggers r the worst.

ok i don't mean to embarrass but this is pretty easy to take apart

GGG fights in the US and all over the world because there is literally no pro boxing in Kazakhstan therefore he can't build a home following. GGG fights all over the world not just America, where his next fight you ask?Monaco :TU:

Loma fights in the states because guess what thats where all the top guys in his divison fight. And featherweight is more of a world wide division than cruiserweight, in cruiserweight you either fight in europe or your at nothing.

and Cleverly turned pro at 18 years old, Jordan turned pro at 24, and even in Nathans 18th fight he faced Danny Mcintosh who was undefeated for the british and commenwealth title better than anyone Jordan has faced

Tony Bellew had already fought for a world title in his 17th fight dear so i guess your just a little confused today

judging by your location your from the same area as Jordan and are here to back up his dad's talk but your only making little of yourself here, i may be harsh but i'm only being honest with Dennis, he was well able to say Usyk wasn't on there agenda as he was ranked lower than jordan and that they would give usyk a crack at the title when jordan was champion :DDD and now that Usyk is ranked way above jordan and near a world title the fight would only happen in usa even though Usyk is higher ranked and the bigger draw and there would be lots more money for the fight in europe :DDD

Dennis and Jordan seem to be toeing the Haymon line of ducking dangerous competition

U telling me ggg wouldnt be making more cash fighting Europe or Lomachenko wouldnt have major players backing him to fight anyone he wants. Cleverly and Bellew fought 1 guy a loss to Cleverly going into his title shot. Same goes for Cleverly they fought each other.

cleverly bellew was a title match and the point was that you said bellew and cleverly fought no one after 18 fights when one had already fought for a world title and the other had fought better competition than jordan dispite turning pro at 18

im sorry that first sentence didn't make much sense i'v no problem answering it but im not sure what your asking

well your from the same state and if you believe Jordan should be calling the shots if they were to fight Usyk and jordan is the a side than you are as ridiculous as dennis

Nah I never said Jordan should be calling the shots in a Usyk fight....in fact he isnt since there is no negotiation whats ever. Im sure if Jordan was offered a title fight on HBO like Bellew was in his 18th fight he would take it.

well dennis seems to think they should be dicating terms if he were to fight usyk, or maybe thats just his way of ducking the fight

id love to see him fight bellew or even a step up from bum level after 18 fights, i'm actually like jordan and it's understandable his dad wants to hype him but you have to call a spade a spade when someone is talking nonsense

Illinois is not the same state as Michigan. There is a state in between the two, namely Indiana. It is similar to saying Germany and Italy are the same country. You have at least one country in between their borders no matter how you try to go from one to the other (to be fair you can go from Illinois to Michigan by water without going across another state's borders). It is a similar distance too.

BTW Jordan turned pro at 23 not 24.
One person keeps talking about Usyk. OK, one guy at cruiserweight who won the gold medal in the Olympics and has had money behind him starting with his pro debut has moved up faster than Jordan. Yea. I posted that Jordan is a world ranked cruiserweight and 18-0 and is just 26 years old. I didn't say he is the only young boxer doing well. That is doing very well in comparison to most other boxers, not just other cruiserweights. Jordan is on the cusp of big fights on TV.

Jordan now has someone behind him with a lot of connections and TV deals. Jordan may have to someday fight outside of the USA but then again maybe not. Floyd Mayweather has never fought outside of the U.S. and he has done pretty well for himself. I know, he isn't a cruiserweight and all the other crap but all it takes is for a bunch of the big fights in the division to start happening on TV in the USA and they will all want to come here.

The Independent World Boxing Rankings calculates the ratings on merit. The opposition quality is the main factor, so if a fighter has never fought anyone in the top 100 he wont be in the top 50. I think everyone would agree that the best fighters should fight the next best fighters, boxing sadly does not work that way in that everyone tries to dodge fights and take the easiest path. I think it is hard to make a case that someone who has never fought anyone in the top 50 should get a world title shot, but it happens pretty much every month.

The ratings are not crappy, they have been around since 1991 and published since 1993 for a long time they were recognised as the bible by many in the trade (over 500 subscribers in 1998) Then the IBO took them on licence until a year ago. You will find flaws in any set of ratings by the IWBR is based on man who beat the man who beat the man. I am sure Jordan is better than his #48 rating but as it stands at the moment that is his independent position based on the formula.
How does the IWBR have Vikapita Meroro rated so high (#42)? BoxRec has him at a more appropriate #74. Meroro has never beaten a "quality" opponent. He has fought 4 good fighters but he has lost to each of them.

I'd like to see Usyk vs Kudryashov. They are from neighboring countries with some political hostilities which would make the fight HUGE in that region. Their residences are separated by 600 or so miles.

The only CW fighting in America who is highly rated is Mchunu, who is with Main Events... but Haymon hasn't been keen on putting his fighters in with Main Events' fighters... Lol

Mchunu is supposedly fighting Makabu in South Africa next, but Makabu might drop out... who knows?

Have Al get in contact with Kathy and get this fight done.

not a good idea at all, Ukraine and Russia are being kept separate in most sporting competitions . in the champions league Urkaine and russian teams aren't aloud be drawn in the same group, too early for this fight

now Shimmell against Kudryashov would be a good fight have that cold war vibe, you should try and get that made

Mchunu would be a good fight. I'd also like a fight between Jordan and Durodola who lost a decision to Mchunu. Durodola lives and trains in the U.S. so it should make it easier to put that fight together. Two tall cruiserweights who live about 600 miles apart (sort of like Usyk and Kudryashov). Jordan is ready for a big fight. It will happen soon. Jordan vs a top 30 guy or another prospect. Something of that nature and then another bigger fight after that one.

Durodola would be a good type opponent to take on next for sure. Good career building fight. Not too tough but not a slouch either. Sort of reminds me of the Kayode-Flores fight that should've happened.

Let me guess you would say Jordan still hasn't fought anybody even if he fought an undefeated boxer (with at least 12 wins), a former world champ, a former title challenger or a guy like Durodola who gave Mchunu a decent fight.
Mchunu has his next two fights lined up assuming he defeats Makabu (a big if) as he would then get a shot at Drozd. Jordan isn't going to wait around for a shot at Mchunu as Jordan's next fight. Jordan will be in the ring within the next 2 months or so.

Is there any logic in these posts? Clearly we all should enjoy and insider view into an upcoming fighters world.... Leave it to the bozos on this site to come up with matches and critiques that make little sense. Wilder had 30 pretty easy fights. Big deal. So did Marciano. All credit to Lomachenko and Usyk if they move faster. Jordan looks like he'll make a good run. Why would anyone want to see him beat before a money fight? Makes zero sense. Usyk and Jordon will probably both end up heavies if they want to make real money anyways. Dennis I for one love your posts. Your boy has talent. Let it grow.

Thanks. The other types of posts are why most boxers/trainers/managers won't post on this site. I have thick skin and can handle it. It is refreshening to know there are some on here with some common sense.

Everyone is ranked by the same method and rules, you get points for wins but you need a lot of meaningless wins to amass enough points to get ranked higher. You might be right and Jordan is the 24th best cruiser and your opinion might have Meroro as the 74th. The IWBR is just about facts on what has happened rather than what might. Lomachenko is not very high in our ratings, we know he is better than his IWBR ranking but as yet he not beating top 20 fighters.
Meroro has beaten two top 100 fighters. His four losses are all to good opponents who were ranked higher than him before the fight and he lost on points. He is a typical top 50 gatekeeper and the sort of fighter you could be looking at as an opponent. I think Jordan would win and get some rounds. I think your son needs three fights gradually pitching him at someone ten places higher each time, then he is probably ready for a world title shot.

Jordan will be boxing someone who is ranked fairly high in his next fight. Then another. After those two wins he will be a consensus top 15.
