Best Promoter/ Manager in Australia

Post by fox »

Just putting it out there. What do we think? Brian Amatruda, Angelo Di Carlo, Barry Michael, Paul Nasari, Jamie Myer, WA boys? Best manager?

Well as a promoter who puts on the best fights. As a manager who has done the best for their charge.

I think Angelo puts on the best most even fights. On most cards you can pick the winner straight up. I think his cards are a lot more competitive.

Good call. Hard to measure the various promoters/managers head to head to tell the truth. There are a few serial offenders who continually put on lousy cards and some of them are the high profile guys.

Yes nothing worse than looking at a card and all one side are going to win and win easy.

Hard to pin any above mentioned at the top. They all do their best, what's available at any one time. You got no idea, how many bouts are stitched for yonks, but fall apart a week...even 2 days before the show.
If you don't believe me, promote a show.

I might add, most of our punchers are totally unprofessional. It takes promoters to urge them to renew their licence or submit their medical/serology to their respective regulating body ASAP
And that IMO is promoters' job they can do without

I was asking a question. I only put those blokes up as a suggestion. Waste of time even posting on here.

In my opinion. Best manager in Aus is Mike Altamura.
Best promoters are Grange at the moment. De carlo and Amatruda do good shows also.

ATM, touch concerned with Victoria. In 90's, a few promoters played seniority game. In the end, the State was pushed to have 15 shows per year

Mike manages Paul Fleming, Lenny Zappa, Daniel Dawson, Dwight Ritchie, Luke Jackson, Val Borg and just signed Rowan Murdock. There are more fighter's I just can't think of them off the top of my head. He also works with fighter's overseas.

He is also a great guy and knows more about the sport worldwide than anyone I speak with.
