Most likely Golovkin next fight
Most likely Golovkin next fight
If Golovkin should fight in next 2 or 3 months, to keep himself active, who is most probably oponent?
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Uh Lemieux vs Njikam fighting each other? ...interresting, didnt know that, thanx
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Golovkin has ploughed through the division as he is so active, I'd love to see him in with Cotton but that bout won't be made.
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Quillin is, for me, probably the best of the rest.
I'd still have GGG down for an easy night but thatd the one i'd lije at middle.
Again, it wont be made, but it's the one i'd like to see most

Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
I think Willie Monroe has a great chance to get this fight in May as the division is basically booked lol. I'd love to see GGG try to get HBO to make Miguel in June, but it seems like its all but signed that Miguel will be fighting Brandon or Tim & I tend to think Miguel wants to dodge GGG til he collects another 8 figure payday vs Saul.
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Maybe Golovkin should go to Germany and finish Abraham's career ? It could be a good money fight.
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Jorge Sebastian Heiland would be a good opponent
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
..I still want him to get rid of Sturm in Germany...
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Have you heard of Cotto.

Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
The options are very limited considering who GGG's already beaten and who would be available.
Looking at BoxRec's rankings it seems to me like Willie Monroe Jr. is a front-runner, as he's not with Haymon, hasn't already lost to GGG, doesn't seem to have anything lined up, has been on a good run, and can't afford to be a diva like some higher-profile fighters can. Additionally, if Chudinov beats Eubank I think he would be a good opponent in the context of who is available, and it seems like there's a realistic chance that bout could be made. Heiland seems like a realistic option as well and I suspect that he'd be comparatively cheap, but I'd prefer one of the other two (assuming Chud beats Eubank of course).
I notice that Lemieux is leading the poll, and he's one of the fighters I would most like to see against GGG, but I doubt he would he pass on a title shot against the relatively beatable N'dam to fight GGG and I don't think GGG would sit around that long without finalizing an opponent.

Centeno would be decent, Tony Harrison would make a very fun fight for as long as it lasted, really would love to see GGG become the first fighter to put Sergio Mora to naptime though

I watched a couple fights with chudinov, as he fought fellow dane nielsen last year. Believe me, chudinov has no business in the ring with golovkin. At all, it wont last half a round...

I think Monroe - GGG would be horrible. Monroe would be on some Andre-Dirrell-at-his-most-scarediest sh1t

I would not waste my time with any of those fights listed.
They are all a waste of time.

Heiland is the best AVAILABLE opponent IMO
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
He totally dominated Nielsen. Actually, he can be no worse than many of the top 15 MWs. Today's fight with Eubank will provide more insight.Butterbean wrote:I watched a couple fights with chudinov, as he fought fellow dane nielsen last year. Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Especially if he is juiced as bad as he was with Macklin. He just went through poor Mathew with unbelievable work rate.Aaronide_ger wrote:Heiland is the best AVAILABLE opponent IMO
Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Now, it looks like Eubank may pose more danger than Heiland. I am wondering if both sides will be interested.

I'd love it if Canelo could get the next shot at Golovkin, but he probably needs to prove himself at 160 first, so that's a non starter.

Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
His work rate was inbelievable, not like the fighter has something special, His power is average, his technique average everything is quite average about him except the work rate which is amazing, he is only 28 and he can develop into a Top10 160lber, Especially now that he has avenged EVERY loss of his (With KO) except the Zbik fight..ikorolev wrote:Especially if he is juiced as bad as he was with Macklin. Eubank Jr vs Golovkin.. Eubank is also a GREAT choice after how he dominated Chudinov.. I really did not expect that he showed some great defensive skills there but there are still lot to improve..

Re: Most likely Golovkin next fight
Its pretty bad when Eubank is the most interesting choice but hey let GGG waste his career at 160. Eubanks is athletic but he doesn't have a chance in hell against GGG.
Cotto isn't planning on doing 160, he was offered a good payday to get a 4 division title against a big name who was pretty much handicapped going in. GGG is living on mars if he think he's getting Cotto in the ring. If GGG was still in his 20's I would be keeping my mouth shut and just hey ket him pile up the defenses but he's in his 30's and everyone gets old at some point. He had a shit load of amateur fights and yes he hasn't had any tough fights as a pro but he may down hill by the time he's 34.
