Not a great undercard but worth a watch. Dylian Whyte facing an undefeated Georgian dude, Denton Vassell going for an international title, Marco McCullough and Anthony Cacacce both look pretty good so far.

I didn't know much of them til I started going over the water to watch Frampton mate. I have seen more of McCullough. He has improved each fight and has racked up a few stoppages since stepping up his opposition. Dunno if he's related to the pocket rocket mate. My dad had asked me the same a while ago and I couldn't find any link online. Cacace looks decent but hasn't really fought of anyone yet.

I saw an interview with the Hearns and they reckon their guy would win (unsurprisingly).

A couple of years ago, I'd say opinion was pretty much split 50/50. Now, I'd say the general consensus is very much towards Frampton being better.

I was at it. Avalos does have a bad attitude. And Carl has been telling the local media that Avalo's mother hit with chewing gum.

Avalos isn't great but he's a solid first challenger and fairly entertaining.

He's probably in the top 5 of the division. And I'd rank him about there as well.

Frampton would be classed as the better fighter. Quigg never beat a World Champion for his title.

Top 5 is probably pushing it a bit, Rigo, Frampton, Santa Cruz, Quigg, Kiko, Donaire's back at the weight now and Mares is meant to be moving back down, 7 or 8 for me, still a solid top 10 opponent though.

Haha I seen the interview. He said his dad was a clown as well Just typical yank arrogance! I can't remember the last time I wanted to see someone get beat up so much lol! Frampton looked a bit pissed at the weigh in. Hopefully he goes in with a cool head. Sure he will. Gutted I'm not over for it. Been to the last few and it's the best atmosphere I've seen hands down!

been to a lot of Frampton fights and last night was the best atmosphere yet, just hope the Quigg fight is made, coz only see one winner.

Yes, Frampton looks good. Strong, very strong and still has agility and seems focused and intelligent - which makes him a dangerous fighter. Observations:

They American was out of his depth a bit, it wasn't pretty but Frampton was entitled to go for him when he turned away.
Michael Buffer is looking a bit shopworn thesedays, they should think about getting the towel ready....great services to entertainment and boxing tho.
They sing about Belfast to the rafters it seems, over-egg it a bit imo - however I understand it - it's taken a hammering over the years and any positive attention at all is just great, so good on the city on the Lagan.

Frampton looked good. In great shape, a real world class athlete.

He seems focused and with a family, settled - he's unlikely to do a Ricky Hatton.

He has that serious, cold look in his eye. He lacks a bit of charisma, but he will get press because of the McGuigan connection.
