Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
Floyd - guy is a boxing scientist in the ring, seeing all the lil things he does in the ring is an event in & of itself
Manny - always fun to watch (outside of that first Tim fight)
Keith Thurman - I don't quite think he's as talented as some suggest right now, but I like his style
Erislandy - love his talent
Guillermo - again another sick talent typa guy, wish he had gotten outta Cuba sooner & we had more of his 20's to have seen what he woulda been capable of, circa 2003-2008 Guillermo vs Manny, Guillermo vs Israel Vazquez, Guillermo vs Rafael Marquez, Guillermo vs Tim Austin, Guillermo vs Johnny Tapia
Joel Diaz - up & coming guy who I think is a future champion
Errol Spence - another young cat who'll be making moves soon
I don't know that many guys infuriate me. I find guys like Carlos Molina painfully boring (I diss Wlad about being boring, but Wlad gots nothing on Carlos). I thought Sergio calling out guys smaller than him was kinda sad.

Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
tbh i wasnt interested in the Maidana fights because i just knew MW would comfortably win .. even though MW didnt turn up at the first fight but a half ready Mw was still to much.Rexob wrote:

however the talk of Canelo v MW was that of a close fight .. that why i really enjoyed it as MW tuned on style a punch perfect fight...

I find it even funnier that the one's defending Wlad will trash Ruiz in a heart beat.
Wlad holds more than Ruiz did
Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
Golovkin is 1 of the most exciting but he needs opponents.
Marquez excites me...
And Mayweather infuriates me the most. I just see a great fighter that could have been, hadn't he been so safe with both his matchmaking & tactics post-Gatti. Mayweather could be a more polished, lethal version of Marquez if he had the same heart, fight & war. Floyd in Round 12 of Maidana 2 or Alvarez sums his career up, running like a coward for his unanimous decision to the boos of the crowd.
Matthysse is a guy who ticks both boxes. He's 1 hell of a fighter, but his lack of ability to cut off the ring is infuriating the way he follows guys around in circles.

Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
Floyd Mayweather, Rigo and GGG are the best sources of excitement for me right now.
I just like it when athleticism and high talent levels are on display (of course, with GGG I would like to see more challenges even if it means going up in weight).
Greatest sources of infuriation are Chris Arreola (who I wish would do his next camp with Anne Wolfe), and guys like RJJ, Toney and legions of other over the hillers who have absolutely nothing left to prove yet keep lacing them up.

Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
Mayweather, himself, doesn't really excite me in the ring. He is definitely the best student of the game in the modern era, but his All Access shows are far more exciting than his fights. I appreciate his technique and skill. Watching Floyd is like taking a college course, while watching someone like Manny is like going on the field trip.

Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
Kosei Tanaka excites me...a lot...kid is 19 but looks like a world level fighter, sensational talent.
Naoya Inoue excite me and nothing needs saying here
Koki Eto excites me as his style is a throw back "hit and bit hit" one
Marvin Sonsona infuriates me...so much natural talent but he lacks the attitude to make the most of it
There are loads more but I've tried to keep it short.

I'd like to throw Victor Ortiz in there. Never seen a fighter smile that much after getting his ass handed to him.

Golovkin - Power
Galahad - Slick & classy

Kovalev - Even more power
Infuriates:-
Haye - Wasted talent & pathetic excuses
Broner - Wazzock
Solis - Embarrasment to boxing
Fury - His mouth is writing cheques his ability can't cash

We will see about fury still unbeaten and has just toyed with a top 5 wbo contender.
Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
There's one guy who answers both questions for me. Gamboa.
Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
If I were Fury I would be crying myself to sleep every night bemoaning the fact that I lack real power. If he had that he'd be a scary proposition.

Infuriating
Anyone who's held the IBF Light Middleweight title in the past 10 years

Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
Two currently that infuriate me would easily be Khan and Cotto. Khan for his undeserving amazingly hubris attitude, self proclamation of a top 3 elite fighter after beating a gatekeeper, and Cotto for being a chickenshit paper belt holding Champion. Maybe he will do something brave (like fight someone good at 160) and I will retract my statement. I know it sounds harsh, but just my personal opinion.
Re: which boxer excites you and which infuriates you?
I am excited with fighters who seek best available opposition and infuriated with ones who look for reasons to have easy fights which include most of Haymon fighters. I may add Cotto to the second category after his next opponent is announced.
