What would be the most satisfying outcome on May 2 for you?
What would be the most satisfying outcome of the Floyd vs Manny fight for you?
I'm a Grand Rapids born cat so I've been knowing who Floyd was pre-Olympics so I'm with Floyd all the way, all day & a 9th or 10th round Diego Corrales level of perfection type stoppage would be the best possible outcome for me. Floyd's career has always been about hitting & not getting hit & to do that in the biggest fight of his life will be the rubber stamp of perfection on his outstanding career.
I think for boxing as a whole, for fans as a whole, Manny winning via KO has the biggest upside for the sport.
Randomly the thing I'm rooting for most of all is Manny walks into the moonlight on May 3 & Floyd does the same on May 3 or in September. These guys have been the faces of boxing for years & years now. Lets let these guys end their careers in a big way & lets start the next generation of cats who'll be the next Manny's & Floyd's.

My feeling for the moment would be to see Pac KO Mayweather, I don't think its going to happen , even in their primes I thought Floyd would win, now Pac seems to have slipped more than Floyd.
In their primes it came down to this for me they are both great fighters but Floyd is the larger human being, and a good big man beats a good little man period.
It is good for boxing though they are fighting.

Mayweather getting knocked out would get boxing lasting year round buzz, but thats unlikely
A close, competitive decision and exciting fight but debatable decision would also be good for the sport as the Pac-May circus continues year round

Re: What would be the most satisfying outcome on May 2 for y
i appreciate floyd's abilities, but i really want to see him tested, and i want to see
someone force him to fight. i want him to earn it. i wish this fight was a few years
ago and win or lose i probably would have more appreciation for his whole career
at this point, which i know sounds insane because the guy has accomplished so much
going back to 130.
i just can't imagine a ricky hatton type stoppage. if floyd can't make it a boxing clinic
and it turns into a fight, and especially if floyd's hands get hurt, i could see over the
course of many rounds floyd absorbing those straight hard lefts and a few right hooks
and only from an accumulation would the ref step in. that is the only kind of tko i think
pac can get, and a war like that would be huge for the sport, a 2-3:1 upset at least by the
oddsmakers, a loss of mayweather's beloved 0, and payback for floyd's talk.
i don't think it's going to happen, and i think floyd will control the pace by pot shotting
and quickly hugging, bending at the waist and turning his back like ishe smith and
rigondeaux, moving away a lot, and basically trying to win very low scoring rounds and
take a decision without worrying about the boos, which i would say is the least satisfying
but most probable outcome.

A convincing Pacquiao win with no hint of controversy would be my preferred outcome, but there's little chance of that happening.

Do you really want that circus to continue?Rodian wrote:Mayweather getting knocked out would get boxing lasting year round buzz, but thats unlikely

Judging by how long it has taken to get this fight on, it could be the early 2020s before we get the two of them in ring again for a rematch!
Re: What would be the most satisfying outcome on May 2 for y
I'd like a Manny ko win 9th rd after making Floyd look silly for the beginning of the fight , I just hope its not like the canelo fight with Floyd in complete control

A classic, plain and simple! However I'm hoping if it goes to decision that at least 50 percent of people agree with it, even if I don't.

I actually like both fighters about equally, I won't be happy to see either lose & especially not to see them ko'd, so I guess the most satisfying outcome for me will just be a competitive fight where the right guy gets the verdict.
Also, considering the eyes of the world will be on it, an entertaining fight would definitely be a bonus.

A great fight with a clear victor, not interested in going through it all again a second time.

I would like to see Krusher Kovalev jump into the ring in about round 5 and knock them both sparko.

I hope for an exciting and competive bout with swings of fortune and both men digging in their heels + a close split decision for a rematch.

A fight with plenty of highlights, a few KDs, and a clear undisputed winner...yet close enough for the two of them to do it again.

Manny getting the better of Floyd for a little over half the bout, then capping it off with a stoppage would be the most satisfying outcome for me.

A draw/tie. That's what I'm being on.

Pacquiao, beating his ass and stopping “TBE” late.

Re: What would be the most satisfying outcome on May 2 for y
Mayweather completely befuddling a confused Pacquiao round-after-round, and proving without a doubt who the best fighter of the 21st Century is.
Re: What would be the most satisfying outcome on May 2 for y
Pacquiao by non-controversial stoppage in which Mayweather is dropped at least three times. Basically, I would hope for an outcome that couldn't be exaggerated / lied about by Mayweather's nuthuggers (like the way they claim that he dominantly schooled Cotto and Alvarez, when he was actually winning most rounds by razor-thin margins of a punch or a few punches), is beyond the judges' control, and yields an outcome which could result in a rematch and perhaps even a rubber match. If it breaks Mayweather's undefeated record officially, that would be yet another bonus, since it could make Mayweather a more courageous matchmaker and could reduce the undefeated bias that warps the perception of his legacy.
