Board insisting on Terry O'Connor as ref , Russians not happy

It amazes me the board can over-rule whats agreed ina contract, especially as the neutral ref will have been chosen along with the WBA.

Can someone explain the sanity of why they can insist that Terry O'Connor is ref, assuming the other ref is experienced.

The contract says subject to British Boxing Board of Control approval, they have to put it in because of situations like this, if Chudinov doesn't fight I would think that he would be in breach of contract due to that line.

Aye, bit of a concern that. Hit Palenzuela clean a number of times but didnt hurt him. Even crediting P with a solid beard that is a worry. Showed some good accuracy and timing though.

Agree on both counts. Always liked the look of Walsh, but he's continuing to improve. Would love to see him stepped up, needs to happen soon.

Jacob has a defence against Fegatilli in a couple of months, might as well get the mandatory out of the way against Troy James, another defence to get the belt outright, then go for the European in the autumn.
