Experiences of B()X N4Tl()N?

Post by surfthehurf »

Anyone had any bad dealings with the above named channel? From my experiences using the online Livesport service, they've now lost me as a customer.

In November I re-subscribed for the Fury Chisora Eubank Saunders night, having had a couple of months off. It took me a lot of hassle to get them to acknowledge that I had already been a long time subscriber so shouldn't have to pay another sign up fee. Eventually they said to pay £12 + £8 then apply for a refund of the £8.

This time, for last night's event, I logged in to watch the action but my subscription had been cancelled because my card expired on fight night. I was happy to continue payments but had to contact support because there was no option to change my card details. I had to get my mate to pay another fee because we really wanted to watch the fight.

The various messages I got back were saying We are sorry to hear that you no longer wish to subscribe and when I said that's not true I'm trying to make payment, they said Unfortunatley, we do not have any free subscription on our site. Our site is a paid website . In order to access the contents of the site, you need to subscribed to the site.

So a sh1t website and awful customer service that don't actually read your messages means they've lost another of their core audience, a huge boxing fan. I ain't going through this hassle just so I can watch the odd Tyson Fury fight. Sky Box Office may be expensive but at least they get the job done with no ball ache.

It is strange how they haven't addressed some of the Subscription issues. I thought they would have eliminated any barriers to subscribers...make it as easy as possible!

Actually they will refund you this fee if you can demonstrate that you're a returning customer. Like maninthemiddle says, they should be encouraging people to join up. Really annoying to be treated like a chump.

Revenue protection isn't it. Everyone would otherwise just pay £12 in months with some decent action and bin it off during the quieter months. Later, rinse, repeat....

As a business they'd otherwise hardly ever know what revenue was coming in and when, and therefore be able to pursue or negotiate deals with any sort of certainty over subscriber numbers.

Personally I say just accept its £12 a month and don't be a cheap bastard. Let subscriptions run and support the only dedicated boxing channel out there.

Had a few issues with it when my card has stopped working & I have ordered a new one. Normally they will send an email that says you have to update by x-date or lose it. So I go in the site & update which in fairness isnt the easiest thing to navigate.
In fairness although unless the output goes downhill dramatically I wont be cancelling my subscription anytime soon.

Never had any issues what so ever, been a subscriber right from the start. Never had any problems with pay wizard thought the process was all pretty straight forward.

PayWizard was straightforward to set-up, but when the price increased from £10 to £12 I had a right nightmare trying to get them to take my payment - they just kept e-mailing me saying my payment was unsuccessful & wouldn't reply to any of my e-mails asking why or when they would re-try. Eventually they took the payment on a random date, luckily I had kept the extra £2 available :lol:

I'm with Virgin and it was a doddle to order and I've never had a problem with it

Although my box randomly cut off and reset itself during Marquez-Pacquiao 4 and when it came back on Manny was out cold :evil:

That was Richard Branson's fault though
