Do you possibly think that Hopkins makes his comments as strictly a means to stir the pot and create interest in a fight?
A lot of blacks will come out, buy tickets and fervently support him while many white will cough up the bucks to see him get beat.

Like promoters, savvy boxers also know how to prey upon fans' emotions and sell a bout. Hopkins does it well.

we dont need him making an already racially sensitive event even more racial. Just read the ESPN comments on the Pac-May stories, its pretty much black vs. white.
