Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Froch now wants to fight Ward as ordered by WBA:

If they fight in the next 4 months, can Crl win taking into account Andre's ring rust and U.K. judges ?

Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Froch can't beat Ward in Iceland or in outer space or with a hat on or with a dog or after eating green eggs & ham.
And lol at UK judges. The UK judge was the only one that got the fight right in how wide it was the first time. The other judges "mighta been having a couple drinks while watching the fight" as Teddy would say.
I have zero interesting in seeing this fight. Lets get Carl vs Julio Jr & Andre can go in the corner with a dunce hat on til he quit talking about tuneups & sh!t.

Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
With ring rust and UK crowd and UK referee I think Froch has a chance of winning. Its slim but not impossible. He will need another Bute like performance, aggressive from the start, land something big and hope ref waves it off quick. I wonder if Ward mans up and goes to fight in the UK as he suggested he would.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Froch's best and only hope is a daylight robbery. Ward still schools him, I'm certain of that.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
In the first fght Froch was too slow. Hippo vs Panther slow. Ward is so damn inactive though it could give Froch a punchers chance. Sometimes that's all a fighter like Froch needs.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Froch will batter Ward in a rematch no matter where the fight is. KO win by 5 for Froch.

Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Lol Froch couldnt beat Ward with a bat
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Beat Ward? As in actually win legitimately?
Absolutely positively no chance.
Blatantly mug Ward with corrupt judging? Well, sure. But that's an entirely different thing.
Ward is p4p #2 in the world. He doesn't "have" to do anything.

Ggg is to busy trying fight welterweights

By welterweight you mean lineal champion in his division?hurricanemitch14 wrote:Ggg is to busy trying fight welterweights
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
What if a ref starts taking points from Ward for excessive holding ? In more open fight, I think Froch got good chances.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Why do you care, I am more interested in your opinions on how big the draw is, being that Carl is a UK fighter fighting an American and you have said in the past that these match ups make no sense, nor money and are bullshit.... also Khan is not PPV and Brook neither blah blah blah ....... go take a bath anti UK pudendum, Froch can beat anyone his size and weight but the clock is ticking and Ward may well ding fornicating dong him right now, rusty or not, purely due to Carls age and wear and tear
You want to select the ref?
Oh imagine if we could?
You talk some fornicating shit sometimes mate

Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Andre Ward is practically retired right now and I expect him to get stripped of his last remaining belt before we see him in the ring with Carl Froch in England. LOL @ everyone's certainty when his management is torpedoing his career with demands of a tuneup fight due to inactivity and surgery. He's gonna go down as a greater waste of potential than Roy Jones. You know who has more fights in the last two years compared to Andre Ward? Harry Simon.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Roy Jones was a waste of potential? The greatest fighter of the 1990's decade sure was a waste.
The only thing being wasted here is bandwidth with your worthless comments.

Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Just think if Roy had Froch's motivation maybe he would have won world titles from middleweight to heavyweight.....everyone gets old and starts getting beat. Some dipshits never seem to grasp that.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Just typical stupid foreign commentary against great fighters like Roy Jones and Andre Ward. Seriously if youre going to crap on guys of that caliber you don't have a shred of credibility.
Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Location is irrelevant, Froch will not win a decision against Ward, anywhere.
Style-wise, Ward is a nightmare for Froch.
I imagine it would be similar to the first fight where Froch is competitive in every round but Ward always being two steps ahead.
But this is boxing and Froch can punch, if he lands clean with a huge shot (big if) anything could happen.
I don't have a problem with this fight, it may not have 'classic' written all over it but it is the top two guys in the division fighting eachother, which is always a good thing.

Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Agreed. Froch only has a slight chance and that's because I can't for the life of me see Ward stopping Froch, whereas if Ward has lost half a yard in his lay-off, Froch just might be able to land something of note and beat the unbeatable!keirw wrote:Location is irrelevant, Froch will not win a decision against Ward, anywhere.

If it wasn't for the layoff I'd back Ward to stop Froch late on, he took him to pieces with one hand for most of the first fight.danamba7 wrote:Agreed. Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Your opinion, I see a prime Ward outpointing a prime Froch all day long but not stopping him. Froch is too tough and Ward doesn't hit hard enough (although not feather fisted).expe wrote:If it wasn't for the layoff I'd back Ward to stop Froch late on, he took him to pieces with one hand for most of the first fight.danamba7 wrote:Agreed. Re: Can Froch beat Ward in England ?
Froch is past it now anyway and I could see Ward taking him out through sheer volume of punches, Froch has never been hard to hit.danamba7 wrote:Your opinion, I see a prime Ward outpointing a prime Froch all day long but not stopping him. On what basis is Froch "past it"? On the decline maybe but not past it.expe wrote:Froch is past it now anyway and I could see Ward taking him out through sheer volume of punches, Froch has never been hard to hit.danamba7 wrote:

Ward all day. Froch's only hope is Ward has lost a step or a puncher's chance. But Ward doesn't give many openings, he may be a bit dull to watch at times but he's fantastic at nullifying an opponents offense.
Kudos for Froch if he does take the fight though. As yes @Diddy, Ward does need to come to the UK if he wants to earn some money. Froch is a far bigger draw in the UK than Ward is in the US. Being P4P one of best in the sport means sh!t if you can't put bums on seats; just ask Guillermo Rigondeaux.
