Good fighters on their day, like Jamie Moore, got naff all.
You mean like Lee Purdy?

I think that you may be missing my point ?

Purdy was sent over to USA for a fight he was never going to win - fast forward a year or so he has now retired on medical grounds and Eddie is organising a benefit for him (not sure how much he got for the fight).

No I got your link, I just wasn't aware he suffered the eye injury in the fight with Alexander.

Because he didn't.

The Bundu fight was one he could have won for a european title, thats not a promoters fault it was a great opportunity for Purdy, that's just boxing.

To be fair I feel Purdy was managed expertly (that is if he did get decent payday for Alexander). I don't think others would have got more out of Purdy.

Moore never getting a shot was criminal.

Brian rose is now movin up middleweight from what I've seen, yet another poor decision regarding his career. There were titlists in the division who were beatable yet rose was sent to face one of the stronger ones in his backyard. I understand you may say 'well he should fight the best etc'. From a boxers perspective to make as much money , get as much titles and set yourself up for after boxing it was a short sighted decision

Liam smith faces a 10-8 opponent in the second show on the night, no title on the line. This guy lost to novice Conrad Cummings a few months ago, what's he doing in the ring with the IBF no.5 ? They talked about getting Liam a former world champ after his last fight, which also saw him face a rubbish opponent. Looking at Liam's record you could argue each of his last four opponents was worse than the one before. I presume Liam is winding down his contract and fwank knows this, so is not investing a penny in him ?

When the other 2 smith brothers left frank to go Eddie i wondered how long it would be until Liam followed.
