Is Floyd/Haymon tampering with Pac's Prep?

Post by koolkc107 »

Boxing coach Freddie Roach accused the camp of Floyd Mayweather Jr. of employing dirty tricks to shake up Manny Pacquiao's training ahead of their May 2 super-fight.

In an interview with ABS-CBN's Dyan Castillejo, the seven-time Boxing Coach of the Year claimed that Mayweather's manager Al Haymon is bribing potential sparring partners to convince them not to work with Pacquiao.

"I'm hiring sparring partners, Al Haymon's people calls them up and offers more money for them not to come," Roach said. "[But] I'm not worried about those guys."

Roach also explained in the interview why he is confident about Pacquiao's performance in the upcoming mega-bout.

Do you think this is true or false?

Why?

And what does it mean?

I think Roach is paranoid. And is coming up with excuses before the fight already.
Just let them fight and drop the theatrics.

Assume for the minute that it is true, isn't Manny professional enough to spar and still be ready for Floyd? I mean basically the entire world of Pacquiao's fans has been claiming that he will beat Floyd and as I recall both Freddie and Manny has said that this is an easy fight.

First we have Manny complaining of Cramps.................AGAIN!! And now we have this crap from Roach, it appears the "built-in"" excuses groundwork is already being laid.

Freddie is underrated for saying crazy sh!t. I mean we all know Roger, Floyd Sr., Angel Garcia & Robert Guerrero's dad will say crazy sh!t all day long, but Freddie gots epic levels of verbal diarrhea himself if you just go youtubing him a lil bit.

Clearly this shows The Floyd camp is worried and will do anything to cheat Pacquiao. Haymon is a filthy animal who needs to hide in the shadows like a rat doing his dirty work.

I Definitely believe this, there will be a lot of on goings for this fight. Roach should have his own list of stuff to create on mayweather. Let the games commence

if its true i dont like it and why would freddie lie, i believe him.

but its not wounder, in this fighter everything is on the line. more for floyd, than for pacquiao.

for pacquiao it is just another loss if he losses, if floyd losses, it is his 0 gone, his discussion as the best ever, his smack talking, everything is gone.

probably true, not illegal, and i would probably do it to, not necessarily as
a boxer or trainer, but if i was a manger or promoter and i could take chess
pieces off the table to help my fighter i would. i wouldn't be surprised if they
used women to set traps and were more devious than this stuff. providing
good sparring for manny should not only earn a decent check but should also
earn a spot on a top rank undercard on a premium channel and if haymon
can tempt freddie's sparring partners away that easily then that is a sign that
what freddie is offering is not a great deal.

Maybe Haymon will throw some money at Roach now to not train Pac properly? Maybe hire someone to grease the floor or the ring so Pac slips? Maybe some Voodoo doll stuff to do still? Secretly give Pac one of his old special shakes so he fails the test? So many possibilities, so little time. I didn't expect the excuses to start this early....

Freddie said he's happy with the sparring partners they have. You conveniently left that part out.

You mean like making a champion fight you for his own belt at 145, or draining a guy who hasn't been at WW in over 7 years or fighting for a bogus title at a weight of 151 for a Jr MW title.

Oh I didn't realize those weren't advantages, my bad.

I apologize

The reason why Floyd doesn't want to deal with Bob Arum is the fact that he wanted to talk to Manny personally to "stage" the fight. Mark, this fight is fixed. Floyd is so sure to win this fight that even 50 cent is betting $1.6 million on Floyd to beat Manny. Manny has a huge tax obligation back home amounting to more than a billion peso and the only way he could pay it is to fight Floyd. Floyd knows this and took advantage of it.

The only way Pacquiao defeats Floyd is to bum rush and pepper him with punches. But Manny's not going to do that. Come fight night, both fighters will dance to Floyd's choreography - and throw punches just enough to fool the paying public into thinking that the fight was close or exciting enough to merit a rematch.

Manny's chances of beating Floyd is zero because he has now put his greed for money, fame and power above glory. Boxing has given him so much but in return he turned his back on it(by indulging in politics, showbiz, etc). That's why the gods of boxing punished him with that knockout against Marquez.

No matter how many dream about Manny beating Floyd, reality is that, it's all written in stone - Floyd will beat Pacquiao on May 2nd - and that's coming from a staunch, diehard, Filipino Pacquiao fan.

And this is why I think all the trolls are just a couple guys max. They are often all grouped together in a thread I'm assuming arguing with each other around the same time. I never realized how much this happened til I put them on ignore.

we should not become too silly on the board
too soon. still many weeks until the bout and
we have much more finger tissue to waste on
this one.

this fight will not be determined by floyd
eliminating great sparring partner for manny.
