Witter deserves a straight shot at the WBC the way that coward pulls out. If pulled out against Cotto to!

I really doubt Witter - PBF will ever happen, as much as i like Witter he just isn't a major attraction.

The only way i see this fight happening is if its on the undercard of a bigger fight but i really doubt PBF would accept that, he always wants to be the centre of attention doesn't he.

Witter is sadly seeming to follow the same steps trodden by Howard Eastman. Both were mandatories for the WBC title, both never had a big-time promoter to force through their shots and subsequently they both have been fucked around by the WBC.

By the time Witter finally gets his shot, he will have been too inactive and too accustomed to European - and not world class - opposition which wont help him when his big shot arrives.

Its a really hard situation at the moment bacuase i feel Witter deserves his chance either by fighting PBF or for the vacant title if PBF moves up, but then again i want PBF & Hatton to fight for the unification of the LW division which wont happen if PBF moves up

Hatton could just unify with Witter instead. :TU:

Not sure if Mayweather will vacate now. More meaningful fights at Light Welter now - not sure a Mayweather vs Baldomir fight can be called a Super Fight.

If Cotto fights Branco for the WBO title - doesn't that mean he is out of the WBC equation. Bit harsh calling Branco a coward if he steps up to fight Cotto.

Witter might still be asked to fight another eliminator - remember the WBC asking Eastman to fight Taylor before Hopkins, that was after Sarnavia was out of the equation following his surprise title win vs Beyer.

The fight didn't happen but the WBC wanted it to happen.

So that could be Gatti, but probably a guy called Juan Urango.

Whay happened to Witter's 'contract' with De La Hoya?
Maybe he could pull some strings to get Witter a shot in the states?.. Or at least a profile raising undercard fight like he had against Ndou..

And Froch was involved as well no?

Didn't Branco pull out of Cotto too though?

Branco's pulled out more often than a porn star working overtime. I've got no idea quite how he's consistently in the mix. With the exception of Gatti, and maybe Vester, his entire career is built on 'stay busy' fights, followed by injuries, tidal waves and orphans that need rescuing when it looks like he's going to fight someone decent.
