Andre Berto vs Josesito Lopez

Post by hulkmaniac »

Both are washed up, but can still deliver a good fight. How do you see this fight play out?

I see Berto winning a bout that ends up being a bit of a stinker. Not sure why but I really don't see it catching fire.

I was thinking the opposite. I think there will be a lot of good exchanges

Neither guy has a great defense so both will get hit. I see it being fairly entertaining. I'm not sure either guy will ever be at the top but I think this is a relatively even match. I believe Berto has more left and will win.

Berto is expected to win so he will win.

Haymon will make sure of that.

Lopez is known to be a gutsy fighter giving it his all even when out gunned but for some strange reason watch him try and box tit for tat on Friday with Berto.

This is the Al haymon show and although he has both guys he had to sign the sacrificial lambs as well just like last week.

Tend to go with this line of thought. Andre wins, but it should be entertaining.

I saw a preview of the fight on "Lights Out" and they both looked fired up, whether that translates into a good fight I don't know.
I think both of them know a loss for their career will put them back significantly especially Berto.

I'm thinking Berto's championship experience wins this one plus he has that bit of quality that Lopez lacks, could be fun fight though and I wouldn't completely rule out Andre folding after being dragged into a brawl, all depends on how much both men have left

Berto late KO

No head camera on this referee, but plenty of fat on the boxers.

Round 1

Both come out swinging, Arreola catches Harper big and Harper goes down.
This might not go far.
Harper on rubber legs.
Arreola all over Harper, this is a pure slugfest no boxing here to see.

1-0 Arreola

I think it's important to note that Bone went down from a slip before the first knockdown and looked like he twisted his ankle. It definitely changed the fight.
