Anthony Ogogo

Post by flob »

Cool blog from Anthony Ogogo. He seems quite funny and thoughtful. http://www.sportlobster.com/news/84191/ ... ables.html

Any thoughts on his future? He's had some horrid luck recently with injuries but the boy has talent. Him and Eubank Jnr looked to be on a collision course a couple of years back.

He's definitely talented enough to win some sort of title, whether beyond domestic or even European level its still too early to tell,I feel for the guy with the injuries he's had,he doesn't want to end up like Tony Jefferies

Anthony strikes me as a genuinely decent guy and he was a top, top amateur.....not only medalling but good to watch.

My concern is that he's picked up some nasty injuries so early in his pro career....and they don't seem to have been quick to resolve/heal themselves. That's got to be a concern for him and frustrating as hell also.

I hope that he does not try and bounce back by taking a silly/risky fight too early in an effort to gain some lost time/momentum.

Luke and Anthony got the golds in London....and are motoring along nicely....but I personally thought AG would be the better pick in the pro ranks. I wish the guy well.

He's very talented and seems to have some of the key tools so I would be amazed if he ends up doing a Tom Stalker.

Hopefully he does come back without any aftereffects from the Achilles problem tho and hopefully his assessment that the surgery will do him good will ring true.

Injuries will hamper him. However, he talks well enough to get a gig on the telly if it all goes pear shaped.

Can't see him coming close, if he wins a European title he'll have done well.

Thoroughly decent guy and a very skilled boxer but I am worried about these injuries he is picking up and the affect it is having on his career.

I hope that they arent as demonstrative as they seem and he can go on and win titles as like I say he seems like a lovely lad.

Never thought about this. Think he could be perfect for a TV gig.

still plenty of time to box though.

Who knows with the state of world titles today, but he hasn't impressed me.

27 this year. Difficult to see him fighting again with the injuries he has had, let alone winning anything.

Think just fighting regularly would be an achievement at the moment let alone contesting world titles.

He was to easy to hit, and not really special in any one attribute other than looking god damn handsome, so no i don't believe he was ever likely to win a title with or without injuries.

Being local to Anthony I can say that nobody has a bad word to say about him. A genuinely nice lad.

I think he probably lacks a bit of pop to win a world title but if his injuries heal and don't continue I can someday see him challenging for a strap but ultimately coming up short.

I think he will likely overcome his set-backs, then will hopefully surprise a few people.

He looks suited to the pro's so far.

People can criticise Ogogo's boxing ability all they want but I've never heard ANYONE doubt his singing talents

I suggest you remove your post tedley or I will be left with no choice but to inform the mods :shame:
