Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?
Can't see how anyone can moan about £10-12 a month for BN. Yes, a lot of the US cards are on in our early hours, but they always will be. At least with BN you have the option to record and watch in the morning instead of waiting for replays via the internet, if you don't want to watch live.
Without BN, it'll be a lot harder to find some of the content.

theres more uk shows in the schedule at the moment than there ever has been and you still get moaners? also the shows on here are generally 50/50 fights compared to matchroom 80/20

Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?
I heard on another site that HBO Snr Exc Ken Hershman is coming over to watch the Fury fight...FW is sounding very confident that he will land Tyson a major summer fight with Wladdy Klitscko and if he does the station will get a major, major boost. If he can also land BJS v Lee or Quillen this summer..

How long is Fury's deal with BN?Manchester Hitman wrote:I heard on another site that HBO Snr Exc Ken Hershman is coming over to watch the Fury fight...FW is sounding very confident that he will land Tyson a major summer fight with Wladdy Klitscko and if he does the station will get a major, major boost. He's co-promoted by Hennessey and Warren, Channel 5 don't have the budget and neither can get TV dates from Sky, unless he fucks them both off, which looks unlikely as he seems pretty loyal, he'll be on allegedly for a while yet, the Klitschko fight will definitely be on there.stujones wrote:How long is Fury's deal with BN?Manchester Hitman wrote:I heard on another site that HBO Snr Exc Ken Hershman is coming over to watch the Fury fight...FW is sounding very confident that he will land Tyson a major summer fight with Wladdy Klitscko and if he does the station will get a major, major boost. Wonder if the plans include bringing wlad to the UK, that would cost serious money. The winning purse bid for wlad vs pulev was over four and a half million quid. And I imagine wlad likes to see the colour of your money sooner rather than later.
Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?
I thought he was promoted by Hennessy who has signed a deal with allegedly? I didn't realise that Warren himself has 50% of Fury. Always thought that if Hennessy got a TV deal elsewhere, Fury would be gone also.expe wrote:He's co-promoted by Hennessey and Warren, Channel 5 don't have the budget and neither can get TV dates from Sky, unless he fucks them both off, which looks unlikely as he seems pretty loyal, he'll be on allegedly for a while yet, the Klitschko fight will definitely be on there.stujones wrote:How long is Fury's deal with BN?Manchester Hitman wrote:I heard on another site that HBO Snr Exc Ken Hershman is coming over to watch the Fury fight...FW is sounding very confident that he will land Tyson a major summer fight with Wladdy Klitscko and if he does the station will get a major, major boost. Didn't realise the status was linked to promotion as well as TV, thanks Expe for let me know.

There was a month or so where it went slow (I appreciate it was January which is a slow boxing month) but over the last month or so it has been excellent & well worth £12 of anyones money.

that'll be the day.

Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?
They've got a lot of magazine shows on now too... Boxing Matters, Bunce's Boxing Hour, Cassius, the BT imported show, etc. Not as good as having fights, but shows that they're making an effort.
Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?
They are making an effort, the channel is improving and there are some excellent bouts coming up; I can't see why people moan so much.

So basically Frankie Gavin killed BN? Aye ok, good one.
BN is the premier(only) boxing channel in the UK, i'm sure it'll be fine.

I won't hold my breath but I'd love it if they beat SBO to securing the Mayweather-Pacquiao bout.
Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?
I've swapped virgin for sky and I haven't got boxnat yet but I noticed that the bn HD channel only seem to be on when live bouts are on is this right or is the HD channel on full time, cheers
Re: The beginning of the end for B0xnati0n?

The Canelo and Mattyhse fights are proper fan fights. You can keep Money v Pac as far as I am concerned - these 2 will be proper fights!
