I know it's his third fight and its the done thing now and all that but I really don't know what he's gaining from fights like this to be honest except a little bit of confidence. I heard actually he was a bit nervous about carrying the hopes of Scotland on his shoulders and stuff.

Ian Millarvie
Just thought I'd mention Millarvie, the next great white/Scottish hope won his 3rd pro fight on Friday. Good display really from Millarvie, but his opponent really was about half a foot and 4 stone lighter. Had to reread the Scotsman article the next day when it said Millarvie was the first to stop this guy. Checked on boxrec. Yes, previously unstopped in all his last two fights against cruiserweight.

What's this new icon replaced? I'd hate to feel the icon that used to be there was just thrown out on to the street or something.

I was wondering about Millarvie also, he seems to have the physical dimensions and amateur pedigree to be regarded as an interesting prospect. It does seem to be the done thing now though to bring your heavyweight prospects along on blown-up cruiserweights, we'll let this one go being as it was his third fight, but I can't see the benefit to the fighter in the long-term.

No don't worry, it has been given a good home over at the eastside forum.jomothepure wrote:What's this new icon replaced? I'd hate to feel the icon that used to be there was just thrown out on to the street or something.

I'm not really sure to be honest. I'm no doctor, but the major symptom of anaemia is just jack shit tiredness, which he apparently got through the boxing training and his job as a plasterer. Seems to have lasted about 6 months. I suppose there's a medical treatment required (blood transfusions or something?) to help. Hope he'll have a better '06
