Oscar De La Hoya: Who hits harder, Pacquiao or Mayweather?
Oscar fought Mayweather at super-welterweight in May 2007 and Pacquiao at welterweight in December 2008. When asked who hit the hardest his answer was they were both the same.

Doesn't surprise me, Pacman is more aggresive and goes for the kill where as Mayweather doesn't. It would explain why Canelo among others haven't tried to bulldoze Floyd.

Lets keep in mind that the Oscar that fought Pac was a 145lb Oscar, a weight he had not been to in 9 years. Even Roach said he knew Oscar wouldn't have anything in the tank after draining like he did. He said he should have protested for Oscar's team trying to re-hydrate him with IV's, which is illegal. He said he knew it wouldn't matter. He also said Oscar, a day or two before the fight couldn't even run a full lap at the gym he was at he was so drained, and looked like a ghost. Oscar, a year and a half or almost 2 yrs earlier, weight about 164 lbs more when he fought Floyd.hurricanemitch14 wrote:Doesn't surprise me, Pacman is more aggresive and goes for the kill where as Mayweather doesn't. So anyway, yeah, I can see why he thought their punching power was about the same. Oscar got the crap beat out of him by small guys like Valero in sparring. His own fault for agreeing to cut, but laughed all the way to the bank afterwards.
