The cherrypicking fraud, " the best athlete Australia has ever produced "
Give me a break.

I'd recommend all you nut huggers take another look at Joshua Clottey V Mundine on You Tube.
Your geriatric hero is going nowhere on the world stage. :TU:
Oh, ok. So you obviously lost memory of anything that happened after the Clottey fight, which was a very off night for Mundine. While you're living way in the past, why don't you bring up the Ottke fight too?... You goose.

Does the name "Sergey Rabchenko" ring a bell? Or what about Mundine vs Wood 2, where Mundine actually took the fight seriously, and pumped Wood. Or are you the typical "hater", that only remembers this great Australians losses?...

And "feather fisted" Geale?.... You've got to be another Da-Da-Danny Green fan, surely?

Baloney! There are dozens and dozens of better Australian athletes higher up the totem pole than Mundine. Maybe you mean Austria!
Highest paid NRL player when he left, 3 x grand finalist, 1 x premiership winner, played 3 games for NSW. Brad FItler to this day says that if the Australian team was picked on form, rather than imcumbants, Mundine would have been picked. And that is from the man picked in front of him to play for Australia.

Having represented Australia in U15's basketball, won a grand final and played for NSW in rugby league, 3 x world champion in boxing. Can you please name a sportsman in Australian history that has had that much success in 3 completely different sports?...

FIRE AWAY!
Got some serious counting issues there, how do you count to 0 and get 3?

Come on Clive, tone down the shouting.

He is a little list of whom the Tele thinks are Australia's top 100 sports persons were in 2014:

http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sport/ ... 7190943801

Our man has moved up one spot to #99 from his previous ranking in 2013.

But then there is the cop out as one never really believes what they read in the papers!

I think the whole contender series was a corrupt disgrace, those shitty sound effects and edited fights where horrible. As for Garth wigga from the hood Woods winning the series and knocking out mundine... Why do good things happen to bad people?

Are you trying to claim Mundine should have been ranked higher? He had 3 fights in 2014. Jackson, Clottey & Rabchenko.

Jackson was a nothing win. Jackson was over matched and did well to go the distance. Clottey simply pulverized Mundine, knocking him down 5 times in the process. Leaving Mundine's only noteworthy achievement for the year beating Rabchanko.

Mundine is ranked about where he deserves to be. He did little to warrant a better ranking.

The black tracker mag must be in cohorts with the Fleet Street press, who also did not write anything good about the English Captain, Cook.

Please explain to me how Billy Slater and Cameron Smith both ranked higher?! Didn't win State of Origin. Didn't win a Grand final. played for the Kangaroos along with the other 1000 odd players that have over the years have. Mundine wins - albiet a 2nd teir - world title in one of the hardest professional sports in the world, yet doesn't even make the top 50!...

Slater and Smith put their bodies on the line every week and train their butts off in the off season.
Never a team player, Mundine fights mostly questionable opposition on average three times a year and spends the rest
of his time making obnoxious and racist comments about all and sundry. Not to mention delusional claims about being
best P4P and unifying world titles.
He doesn't deserve a ranking in the top 100. Should have been red carded long ago.

Mundine had two very forgettable fights in 2014. Though few will ever forget the hammering Clotty delivered him, and in the third edged a win for a 2nd tier title. Good win against Rabchenko. But hardly world changing. Rabchenko had only defended the title once previously. Against the 34-14 Bradley Price.

Smith and Slater are two of the very best rugby league players in the world and played very good football at all 3 levels throughout 2014.

Answer me this. How many times in all those games Smith and Slater played throughout 2014 did they play as poorly as Mundine performed against the handpicked Clottey?

Those top 100 rankings in the telegraph are a disgrace.

They actually don't want to put Mundine in there but do so at no99 or 100 to pisxs him off, same every year regardless of who he fought that year.

There are two or three women surfers on the list, fuxck'n please, what's the world become

So, like a boss thinks that every player that played at all 3 levels of football last year, should be in the top 100?... That is what I'm thinking. The only thing thing Mundine could've done better is win a legit world title, he did the next best thing. Which I certainly rate higher than ANYTHING Slater and Smith "achieved" last year.

Or maybe Mundine should have a fight every 2nd week of the year, Like a Boss. Would you then rate him higher than Slater and Smith?...

WBC Silver is not a world title of any tier, it's no different to the meaningless international titles won by fighters all over the world. Maybe if Mundine made a proper effort to fight for a real world title he might get a bit more recognition.

Hard to rank a year very highly when you suffer by far your biggest career beatdown in it.

At the end of 2014, Mundine is ranked #4 by WBA and WBC, and ranked #10 in IBF. Yet makes it in at #99 for Australia's best sports people 2014... Odd...

Though he didn't actually see the fight :DD . but friends of his who know the game said Mundine fought well.

It's the Telegraph they have never liked Mundine. Can't say I like him much but he is surely higher than 99 if you're being objective(which the Telegraph isn't).
