Decent wee interview here and Charlie Flynn shows his usual character. The wee guy comes across well.
Id like to see a Ringside special on scottish boxing, get various boxers on who are at different stages of their careers. Dont know how promotional agreements would effect the fighters but it would be good to see. Think we have seen enough of Joshua, The Smiths, Brook, Quigg etc for a while. Lol
Any combination of the below:
Charlie Flynn, Joe Ham, Michael Roberts, Ronnie Clarke, John Simpson, Kris Carlsaw, David Brophy, John Thain, Stephen Simmons, Gary Cornish and if they have a few spare seats then throw in Ricky Burns and Alex Arthur too.
I appreciate I have missed a few who would deserve a mention but just suggesting the idea, not the fine details.
Charlie Flynn meets sugar ray....
Re: Charlie Flynn meets sugar ray....
Hahha he's so easy to like, always the same, sat next to him at St andrews club and him wanting to bet on winners was pretty funny! Really hope he goes to top, would love Stv or bbc scotland to try and get some footage with him, maybe a little docimentary in a lead up to a fight or that, people would def watch it.
Re: Charlie Flynn meets sugar ray....
Agreed mate, He comes across as genuine and doesnt change how he is when cameras get put in front him which is great.
The more exposure he gets can only be good for scottish boxing in general. When he had his box off for the commonwealth games I have to admit that I was hoping for him to lose as his opponent was from my area but once that fight was done and dusted I was obviously behind him since he was representing scotland.
I wish him only the best for his journey.

He's a great character, you could see he was genuinely chuffed to be doing that.
Reckon he'll make a good pro as well, he's got a bit of spite to his work.
I thought ray did a great job understanding him there.

Class interview, he's clearly an endearing character. Looking forward to seeing him on the Newcastle bill next month.
