Comanche Boy

Post by diddy »

Remember when this idiot used to fight trash men all the time on ESPN and dance next to their bodies after knocking them out?

I hope Patrick Nielsen went and danced in his face after kicking his ass today.

Comanche Boy always pissed me off. He's fought 2 fighters who didnt completely suck, fringe guys in Delvin Rodriguez and Nielsen, and gotten crushed both times.

I think he was only on ESPN a couple of times outside of the Rodriguez fight.

I recall BobbyDobbs was his manager or somehow affiliated with him at one point.

He ran into a Viking today...didn't turn out well. That's why there's more to boxing than a glossy record.

Another example of why records should be viewed in context. There are guys with losing records like Dashon Johnson and Darnell Boone who are clearly significantly better than GT in my opinion.

I agree 100%. I don't get why he got so much air time on ESPN given the dreadful opposition he'd face. I remember he once fought a really old dude who looked like he had no business anywhere near a boxing ring and knocked him unconscious . While the poor guy was being treated by the medics, this douchebag was gloating and dancing all over the ring like a complete prick.

Thats a testament to the low point of entry in the sport. Any asshole who doesn't fall off the treadmill can get in the ring. And you can fight that guy & guys like him til you're 30-0 in certain states/countries.

Looking at his record its fascinating tbh. In Oklahoma he's 32-0-2. Outside of Oklahoma hes 2-2. Largely he didn't get away with much. He didn't get a title fight or anything big really. I remember Leonard Townsend from Chicago, IL in the 90's. I think like 95% of his wins were to guys with losing records & all his L's were to guys with winning records & somehow he parlayed it into a title shot.

I was hoping to get a decent line on neilson but he was a huge favorite. Nobody was fooled by that dude.
