Maidana vs Thurman

Post by Chepppaaa »

what would happen?

in terms of action, an world class match up. also, since isnt also maidana advised by haymon, same as haymon, so politicly it also could be done.

I say Thurman close UD over Maidana. i think ones thurman realy do feels maidanas power he keeps circling and using superior skills. well, superior is hard to say, since maidanas skils are underrated. thats why i say, close fight.

Ohhhhhh... This would be nice. I'd love to see it. I'd favor Thurman, but wouldn't rule out Maidana for a second.

i mean if one thing is for sure and showed us in the broner and mayweather fights is that maidana isnt a limited brawler. he can vary punches, cut down the ring and fight effective up close. this would not be a walk in a park for thurman, very close fight.

Its probably the most fun fight at 147. I hope it happens. I don't give any f#cks who wins.

Not happening for awhile it sounds like though. Robert has said Marcos isn't getting back into the ring til September at the earliest & he kinda implied he might not even fight til 2016. Marcos got life changing money in 2014 so I can't fault him too much for taking some time off, enjoying himself & potentially getting hungry again. Gotta figure its probably not the easiest thing in your day to day life to handle that sorta overnight change. Kinda like boxings version of winning the lottery.

yeah, makes me wounder what i would do exactly NOW with 5 million or i dont know what he exactly got.

but i mean, sooner or later this has to happen, maidana is still young, dude is 31, got easily 5 years left, keith is pretty much at the beginning, for such a great stylistic match up i would wait 1 year. this would realy be a dream match up, because everything is so equal, both have same height, same weight, same reach, same power....both tough etc

Thurman would chicken Maidana to death.

Maidana would test that chin, which we don't know much about.

Surprised so many see Thurman comfortably. Whoever won comfortably against Maidana (bizarre exception being Devon, now there is a fvking outlier for you)? I mean sh1t he can be beaten, but by a one shot at a time then run dude, you gotta be Floyd to pull that on maidana.

even if he won i could see Thurman looking distinctly uncomfortable.

he would test everythng. his chin, his durability, his toughness, his condition. thats why i found it strange so many people thinking that thurman easily beats maidana.

Great fight, but one I don't think Maidana will take. His trainer said he is only interested in Garcia right now. He could cause Thurman some real trouble fighting in close, but Thurman could cause Maidana huge problems with some big body shots.

If Khan manage to last 12 rounds with Maidana, Dont think Thurman will have to much trouble too.

Thurman for me UD decision

How is Thurmans chin has it been tested yet?

If Thurman boxes and stays smart, he can win.

If he plays Maidana's game, I see Marcos with the upset.

think it could be a tough fight to call, Maidana doesn't seem so hard core now he has a child, watching the hbo build up on his last fights ,looks like he is a real family man now, so i would go thurman think he has power to fight maidana but is also a better boxer then him. . i want see thurman v shawn porter
