Ward will spend most of the fight hunched over to his right side illegally dipping below Kovalev's waist and Kovalev will continually be trying to land overhand rights and may even land some on the back of Andre's head and Andre will complain to the ref and the ref will warn Kovalev and possibly take points if it continues. When this isn't happening Ward will tie Kovalev up as much as possible to try and frustrate him. That will be Andre's M.O. in this fight--to make it as ugly as possible.

I can only imagine frustrated Kovalev. Ward's dirty tricks is nothing compared to what frustrated Kova would do.

Ward is crafty and what I wrote is exactly what would transpire for most of the fight.

Until Andre goes down and doesn't get up.

Ward would slap the one-armed Kovalev around the ring for 12 rounds, and then watch him take a humiliating hike back to Mother Russia.

To rub it in, Ward would then move into Kovey's Florida home that was purchased with American dollars.
He sends all his rubles back to Russia, per orders of Putin.

One-armed? Kovalev has hurt several opponents with the left and his jab was an important weapon in his 12-0 schooling of BHOP and his beat-down of Pascal.

But you think fighters' competence is based on their nationality so noone should really listen to you. I don't think I have ever seen you pick against an American.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with 'those damn Euros' re the complex diddy has. Kovalev will kick Ward's ass because he is going to impose his style on Andre without much in the way of effective response. It's going to be one hell of a sweet moment for boxing to see Ward get pulverised. But that's theoretical of course because Ward is not going to want any of Sergey.

A slick, ultra-talented guy like Ward will always upend a robotic walk-in fighter like Kovey.
The Russian will be swinging at air all night, looking the part of the clumsy brawler.
There's a reason Golovkin doesn't want any part of Ward.
This will happen no matter what the nationality of the opponent is.

I don't pick fights based on a fighters' place of origin.
If I only pick Americans (and I don't know that as fact) then it must be because they're usually the superior fighter.
I deplore nationalism.

Robotic and walk-in. Right. I didn't realise there was anyone left of the 'Just Another Kelly Pavlik' crew, but here you are.

You don't know boxing. And I also seem to remember you picking Hopkins very decisively over Kovalev. Yet it turned out you were wrong, and you failed to be man enough to admit you were wrong and give him credit :witzend:

Pip also suggested that Stevenson had no chance of beating Dawson, but he hasn't let that stop him from making predictions as if nothing else could happen.
