When this isn't happening Ward will tie Kovalev up as much as possible to try and frustrate him. That will be Andre's M.O. in this fight--to make it as ugly as possible.

But you think fighters' competence is based on their nationality so noone should really listen to you. I don't think I have ever seen you pick against an American.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with 'those damn Euros' re the complex diddy has. Kovalev will kick Ward's ass because he is going to impose his style on Andre without much in the way of effective response. It's going to be one hell of a sweet moment for boxing to see Ward get pulverised. But that's theoretical of course because Ward is not going to want any of Sergey.

A slick, ultra-talented guy like Ward will always upend a robotic walk-in fighter like Kovey.
The Russian will be swinging at air all night, looking the part of the clumsy brawler.
There's a reason Golovkin doesn't want any part of Ward.
This will happen no matter what the nationality of the opponent is.

I don't pick fights based on a fighters' place of origin.
If I only pick Americans (and I don't know that as fact) then it must be because they're usually the superior fighter.
