Though he didn't actually see the fight :DD . but friends of his who know the game said Mundine fought well.
Yep that Green interview was hilarious, they got him on to talk about Mundines performance, and he claims he never watched it
But he got free publicity for his fitness business which was his aim. He said he expected Mundine to win yet I never seen 1 pre fight prediction from him.

Wrong again, green was established before their fight, the year before their fight green made the BRW top 20 australian sportspeople list for top earners and mundine was somewhere around 50, you can't argue with the tax man, mundines biggest payday was against green and he promoted that fight raising him to about 9th on the BRW list for the year the fight was held

You're not that thick are you sunshine?

Green built his name calling out Mundine for 5yrs before they fought and Fenech was behind it all. Mundine whether you like him or not gave Green, Soliman and Geale a massive leg up.

It's possible that he is Kel. :OhYes:

If Grinning Greeny was an American living and fighting in the States and not with Mundine's assistance then how much $$$$$ would he have made ? Maybe 20-30% of what he has made ?

Grinning Greeny was a decent fighter/fringe contender but certainly nothing special and basically these type/standard of fighters can win the odd trinket theses days (see Sam Solimans) when there are a handfull available in each division.

In 2005 green earned 1.9 million with mundine so far back on the list it was ridiculous, they didn't fight until 2006 so before the fight, green was actually a more successful money earner, I know you have a comprehension issue kel but it cannot be explained any clearer, your opinion means nothing when proof proves you wrong, ok SUNSHINE :TU: :TU: :TU: :TU:

Run a poll sunshine and see what the majority of people think why Green became relevant in Australia.

I worked with hundreds of people who had no idea who Green was.......They would all say, "hey isn't that the bloke that's going to bash Mundine?" ..... I like him when's he fighting next :OhYes:

He was marketed well by Fenech who hated Mundine and saw the opportunity to promote his man.

Going on about how much he earned the year before they fought is really a moot point, the plan was already hatched well before they fought, some could say it was our own version on Money v PAC it took that long to arrange.

People have short memories

A poll isn't going to change the FACT that has been presented, your lack of comprehension is not surprising though, in the famous words of jack Nicholson, YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH

He got good money for the Beyer rematch and the double header in 2005 in Perth when him and Mundine fought on the same card. It would be one of the only years he out earned Mundine. The fact he still constantly calls out Mundine tells you all you need to know.

The Contender winner Garth Wood knocks out Anthony Mundine in fifth round of middleweight clash

Anthony Mundine's plans to head to the US are in disarray after 'The Man' suffered a shock fifth round knockout at the hands of Garth Wood in their middleweight bout at Sydney's Acer Arena.

Mundine had planned to use the fight - Wood's reward for winning The Contender television series - as his final stepping stone before heading overseas, but admitted everything was now up in the air after Wood left him sprawling on the canvas 58 seconds into the fifth round.

After what had been a scrappy opening four rounds dominated by grappling and warnings from the referee, Wood - in just his 12th professional fight - landed a vicious left hook on Mundine's chin to send the two-time world champion to an early demise.

"You get caught, but it's about how you bounce back ... he's rised (sic) up so all credit to him," Mundine said.

"I'll go back to the drawing board and talk to my team and see where we go from there.

"Congrats to Garth - he thoroughly deserves it."

Few gave Wood - who like Mundine was a former NRL player - any chance of beating an opponent who held a massive edge in experience and class.

In more than 20 bouts against Australian fighters, Mundine had never been defeated by a compatriot, and had come into the fight riding a 17-bout unbeaten streak stretching back to 2005 when he lost to Mikkel Kessler in Sydney.

Wood, who only made it to The Contender series as a late replacement for an injured Shannon Taylor, said this was just the start of bigger things.

"What do I say, I'm the best kept secret, but you are all aware of me now," Wood said.

"It was hard to get to Anthony early, I think he was aware of my power and I was just trying to bang away on is body but he was grabbing on me for a while.

"When I had the chance I hit him with the left and then he dropped and then I hit him with the left hook - that's what we've been training for."

While delighted by his win, Wood paid tribute to Mundine for giving him the opportunity to ply his trade on the big stage.

"If it wasn't for him, I never would have got a knock on the door, I never would have been able to chase my dream since I was a kid," Wood said.

"I take my hat off to him, I've got all the time in the world for him."

Not crap Clive, business review weekly does this every year, green was worlds ahead of mundine in earnings in 2005, proving his career was ahead of mundines at that period of time, green was very well established before he fought mundine, fact not fiction, kel is wrong
