What's your source for him dropping Kovalev twice rather than once? I've never seen anything suggesting that it was twice.

I guess it depends on one's definition of journeyman, but if it's limited to non-contenders who make their careers as opponents and never go past that level I can't think of anyone better off the top of my head. He's essentially 50-50 against contenders and prospects and I imagine that he arguably deserved to win several of the bouts that didn't go his way.

Boone KO'ed Stevenson, knocked down Kovalev and Ward and beat some decent prospects. Not bad for a guy with 20-21-4 record.

Look him up. He's fought loads of notable opponents and as mentioned knocked out Adonis Stevenson, so I'm surprised you don't know who he is.

it was a joke .....

like when a boxers name got mention and his opponent say "who", to act like if he is nothing...

yeah, bronne is realy solid, he fought so many top level guys like lara, kovalev etc.

also glen johnson came to my mind, but than, was glen a journeyman, for a certain time of period yes, but later, dont know

While Glen often traveled and fought as the B-side it was still at a fairly high level and he was generally considered a world title contender. Without considering levels and one's position in the division people like 45-1 multiple time world champ Brian Mitchell and current IBF title holder and top 3 super flyweight Zolani Tete would arguably qualify as journeymen, which seems unfitting to me. I restrict the journeyman label to people with a lower divisional standing who are generally brought in to lose, so to me it's not a fitting term to attach to Glen until arguably the latest stages of his career.

Dashon Johnson in the middleweight division reminds me a lot of Boone.

Same here and I was there in person when he knocked out an unbeaten Canadian Olympian. Before the fight I knew virtually nothing about Johnson and considered not going because I assumed it would be a mismatch; turned out that it was but not in the direction I expected.

He did it again, stopping 15-1 (14) Phil Jackson Benson.

Now he's back at .500 with 21 wins and 21 losses. I wonder how Boone's career would've unfolded if he had a notable promoter and was promoted as an A-side rather than being a perpetual opponent.

I was just watching some type of tribute video of Boone and realized that Kovalev team won't show the footage of Kovalev vs Boone. It leads me to believe Boone won that one . As far as him and Ward , no way he won that. He dropped Ward hard and then went back to being outboxed.

Or maybe Sergey looked poor and they don't want people to see that, even if he deserved the win....

I hope a video of Boone's recent win over Jackson emerges.

Could you imagine if Monroe beats Golovkin, that would mean Boone holds a win over the lineal light-heavyweight champion and the man who beat the best middleweight in the world.

I don't see it happening, but that would awfully intriguing and would make for a helluva story line. I really wouldn't mind seeing Boone get a shot at Lee or the winner of the vacant IBF strap.
