The Forum GGG vs Monroe Tickets prediction?

Post by Aaronide_ger »

How many tickets do you expect the venue to sell?

The prices are set at 300,200,100,60,30. GGG did 9,2K recently at Stubhub which was a record.

I would be happy with 10K + , That will show GGG has market power since Monroe is not known.

ALSO Marquez vs Alvarado tix where priced at 400,250,150,75,35

Much higher than this fight, does anyone know how many attended the fight?

Official attendance for the Fabulous Forum's boxing rebirth last May was 12,090.

The attendance (minus the host of freebies that will be unloaded) will be much lower for Golovkin vs. Monroe.
The Russian has some fan support but don't confuse him with an attraction like Mexican superstar Marquez.

And Monroe is a complete unknown if you don't follow ESPN boxing tournaments. Add that to the fact that black fighters don't draw flies in Southern California, and you can be certain that actual paid attendance will be under 7,000.

That means every Russian in the L.A. area has already purchased tickets.
Now who else will bother?
Monroe's friends and family?

Don't bother to answer to Senior Pipi (is it penis ?) He is a known hater of Russians, and his hate is likely covering people from Kazakhstan too.

Of course all those Mexicans who bought tickets to the Rubio fight were just KGB agents or paid to watch Rubio.

Big deal.
You can easily throw a bottle of vodka from Kazakhstan to Mother Russia, so what's the difference?

But there won't been any Mexican fighters in the main event.
In SoCal, no Mexicans means no crowd.
You don't think that everyone at the Rubio fight was there to see Golovkin, do you?
Mexicans support their own. They won't support or be interested in a match between a Russian and a black American.

Yeah he's terrible I don't know why I bothered, I imagine him to be like one of the old guys of around 80 who constantly moan and b1tch about everything. I loved how he was calling football "soccer" a sport nobody in the US was talking about or interested in just because nobody where he drinks was talking about the World Cup, then a few days later the whole country was talking about it and watching it, including the president

Of course most of them went to see Golovkin. Mexicans (except morons like you) love him. Mexican rappers even composed two songs about GGG. Golovkin is trained by Sanchez and fights like Chavez which is why they like him.

U must be smoking something my friend.

Golovkin vs geale did 8,572 in NEW YORK,

3 months later Golovkin vs Rubio Sold out the Stubhub something that NOT A SINGLE fighter has done before, and you tell me it was rubio who sold the tickets? So if the fight was Rubio vs Quillin would it still do a sell out? HELL NOT and you are a huge idiot if you believe that.

Ok so you do expect under 7.000 tickets.. Come fight night if the attendance is more than 10.000 will you admit that you were wrong about golovkin's marketability? Because right now you are right he is fighting an uknown guy.. which means the guys that buy tickets are 99% for Golovkin.

This will be a good indicator.I would love for you to be right and it is a sell out.
GGG needs to show proof to HBO that he is ready for PPV.Only way to do that is
to prove he is a draw.
Over 10,000 is a good point to prove his marketability

Yea thats what im saying.. Marquez did 12k and he is a mexican idol, been in NUMEROUS PPVs and has been fighting in the US for a very long time.. Should GGG exceed that number then there is really no excuse to avoid this guy rather than being "Scared"

Pipino doesn't admit he's wrong about anything. He still thinks Kovalev is a lumbering oaf after enthusiastically picking Hopkins over Sergey. Apparently shutting out and beating up a Hopkins who could probably still have beaten everyone else in the division isn't enough for him.

You amigos get so excited about some Russian fighter who spends his career beating nobodies and is somehow already hailed as an ATG.

So what, he sells a whopping 8,000 tickets in New York. That's out of a population of what, 8 million?
Yeah, it sounds like they busted down the doors to see this guy. Malignaggi could draw more fleas there.

And yeah, Mexicans have little interest in Golovkin, despite your claims that they "love" him. If it wasn't for Rubio (who isn't even a huge Mexican icon), the Russian would be fortunate to lure 5,000 to StubHub and most of that number would be papered and filled out with Russian immigrants.

Of course, I'm amused by Ikovey backing up his arguments by revealing that actual Mexican rappers have written songs about him.
Wow! You know you're a megastar when some esteemed rappers waste time immortalizing you. But that's what rap is...a big waste of time.
Perhaps, Ikovey can provide us the tunes. I'm sure he spends his productive day listening over and over and over....

And once again some digzee guy is excitedly ranting about soccer, demonstrating what a brain surgeon he is. The "whole country" was talking about the World Cup?
Maybe true if that "whole country" consists solely of your household and a few European themed bars.

And it's possible Obama was "talking about it and watching" (I really don't know) but you have to remember, he's a guy who actually attends women's basketball games and can't bring himself to say "Islamic terrorism."
Not exactly a razor sharp mind there. Soccer would seem to be his speed.

I might reply if I knew what your convoluted "answer" actually was. But when you use the quaint "Dude" greeting, I figure why bother? That oh-so amusing cliche is something only revered by high school stoners from the 60s and 70s. No one over the age of 15 actually uses it today.

Now aaronide, is that a nice thing to say after I supplied you with the attendance figures that you were too lazy to look up?

And I must remind you----it's "You are so lame," not "U so lame."

Maybe they talk like that in Russia but it's very improper English here in the U.S. of A.
