Events not being updated on Boxrec?

Post by bennyaha1 »

Hey everyone
Does anyone know the contact details of either Mike Attree or anyone who edits/updates the boxers and events on this website?
There has been a few Pro fights thats been happening recently that has not been updated or put up here at all including a IBO Asian Pacific title fight that happened on the 21st of march in Thames which was set to go 12 rounds but stop in the 10th round due to an accidental headbutt that caused a cut on Cairo George which Cairo George won by split decision against Nort Beauchamp
And the undercard Dave Letele won by 4 rounds UD against Tamati Keefe

I take care of NZ & local officiating bodies know how to contact me. NZNBF probably officiated the show, so it'll take time for it to submit official results.....at times 2 weeks.

Duco events is usually officiated by NZPBA, which, unless outside Auckland is quite prompt with results
e.g. Jackson/Carroll was sent yesterday morning, but I like everyone else enjoys a day off. I inserted result early this morning.
Super 8 (officiated by NZNBF) was in the past telecast live by ppv Main Event, so I noted basic results. However, it appears it ain't going to happen come March 28

Looking at George's Nov 15 fight history. I was unaware of it 'til Nov 28, when NZNBF sent the result

He definitely didn't win by TKO I saw it however it stop due to accidentally headbutt in round 10 so it went to points and two of the judges said he won the third judge said it was a draw so a technical split decision if there is such a thing

That would be Tech Majority. I Inserted as per IBO & wait 'til I hear from title supervisor Steve Scott & NZNBF

The Cairo George vs Nort Beauchamp fight night was held at Thames War Memorial Civic Centre the promoters were Team George Promotions

25th of April Robert Berridge vs Andrew Robinson will be held at Springvale Stadium in Wanganui the promoters are Fight Fit and Paul Berridge
Its for the vacant International Boxing Organization Oceania light heavyweight title and the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association (NZPBA) light heavyweight title

That Robert Berridge vs Andrew Robinson matchup looks a bit suss, with Andrew only having 6 fights on his tab up against Robert who is well seasoned and one of the best on either side of the Tasman.

The Cairo George ‏vs Nort Beauchamp was for both IBO Asia Pacific Title and New Zealand National Boxing Federation (NZNBF) welterweight title
Im guessing your still waiting for the NZNBF?

Yup! Because I don't know NZNBF's rules. In Oz, they can't hold National & Regional title at same time ...no matter which weight class. Once a National titlist jumps into the ring contesting Regional title, Oz title is declared vacant. If Regional titlist (albeit crap) wishes to contest Oz title he has to relinquish crap title.

What is the point hanging onto NZ title when no-one atm is prepared to challenge him? IMO, let the lesser quality punchers sort each other for it.

Half of the time people challenge for it the other half are holding on to it for bragging rights because they derserve it like Robert Berridge and Joseph Parker
But Boxers like Joseph Parker and Cario George and Monty Filimaea these titles mean something to them not only personally but they feel its the first major milestone in there career
so yea thats the point i believe

Trust you to bring-up my former lover Chauncey. I can't believe he ditched me 'cos I overruled 100+ edits relating to his loss/win/loss/win/loss to Sii Uta in 2005. It was loss & I eventually locked it as such.
