The Big One has been made what else do we want?

Post by IRLangmaid25 »

With the Floyd Mayweather v Manny Pacquiao mega fight now finally been made. What other fights do we want to see happen this year that has yet to be made?.

For me wouldn't mind seeing any of the following?

Adonis Stevenson v Sergei Kovalev
Nicholas Walters v Jhonny Gonzalez
Ruslan Provodkinov v Brandon Rios
James DeGale v George Groves II
Marco Huck v Denis Lebedev or Yoan Pablo Hernandez.

What do you want gentlemen?

As a huge fan of the heavyweight division I want to see
Fury vs Wilder with the winner getting Klitschko. :TU:

I'm a former huge fan of the HW division, but I'm still intrigued by the Deontay vs Tyson vs Wladimir fun potential thats going on there right now.

I think Saul vs Miguel is going to be the next BIG fight, but I think that fight will be one sided with Saul taking a wide W or stopping Miguel so while I look forward to it I'm pretty confident in whats going to happen.

Then there are random fights I think will be great or just fun, lotsa 3way action cuz I think there are several interesting boxers at the top of a few divisions & cuz I think we got a ongoing HBO vs PBC thing going on that will end up making some fights harder to make:

Artur vs Sergey vs Adonis
Guillermo vs Vasyl
Keith vs Marcos
Ruslan vs Brandon
GGG vs Peter vs Erislandy
GGG vs Carl vs Julio Jr.
Adrien vs Danny or Lamont
Terence vs Omar vs Adrien

I know everyone wants to see Kovalev-Stevenson and so do I. But how about this for a little tourney to unify the LHW division . . .

Pascal vs Stevenson
Kovalev vs Ward

Dreaming I know, but Pascal vs Stevenson would be huge in Montreal. Might be kind of a stinker of a fight though. There aren't many compelling fights for Andre Ward, but if he were to move up, Kovalev would force the action and I think it'd be a good one. I think the only real problem is Stevenson being with Haymon who seems to be creating his own little boxing biospehere.

I'd watch all of those fights but i'm not convinced any are competitive. Maybe DeGale vs Groves but at this point i think DeGale has progressed & Groves regressed since his KO loss and would expect James to win that one without a great deal of trouble.

Golovkin vs Ward or Froch

Cotto vs Canelo

Those would my preferences.

I wouldn't mind seeing Wilder vs Fury with the winner facing Klitchko simply for the entertainment.

Any combination of Rigondeaux, Santa Cruz, Frampton & Quigg... it's crazy that none of them have fought each other yet.

nacho says jmm might go for brook's title for his last fight to complete the set.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI_W41v ... e=youtu.be

i don't see marquez fighting 140 or 154 again, although there are good fights
to be made for him in those divisions, so i'd like to see jmm vs brook or khan
for his farewell fight.

i'd like to see rios try to get back down to 140 and fight provo, algieri, broner,
peterson, for the ibf or wbo titles.

i'd like to see cotto just vacate the wbc 160 or get stripped and go back down
to 154 or 147 anf get into the mix with some of the top guys down there.

from 140 to 154 there are like 10 or more really good fighters not named floyd
or manny who could meet at welter and i would be psyched to see any combination
of those guys fighting.

froch should get his big vegas fight vs jcc jr and it would be decent entertainment.

GGG should clean up the titles at 160 and set up a bottleneck pointed directly at him.

I want to see Cotto fed to Golovkin. I also want to see Rigondeaux-Frampton, Rigondeaux-Santa Cruz, Froch-Ward 2 (in England this time), Wilder-Fury, Khan-Thurman, Matthysse-Vargas, Broner-Provodnikov, Gonzalez-Walters, Lomachenko-Gradovich, and Kovalev-Stevenson. I want to see Heavyweight, 175, 160, 147, 126 and 122 unified, and I want Canelo to stop with the catchweights and fight at 160 already. I'd also like Tony Thompson to dispose of Shannon Briggs.

For me It's Adonis vs Kovalev - it's not as big commercially but it's the most interesting.
I would like Cotto to fight GGG. Alvarez vs Cotto does not interest me too much. At least GGG vs Cotto would have some kinda historical value.
I Also like Wilder vs Fury. Good match up.

X2 A lot of great fights ahead. It would be nice for Floyd, Manny, and Miguel to retire very soon and make way for the new stars of boxing.
