I like Joe as well. At his birthday celebration after he passed away the family had 68 boxing people light a candle in his honor and I was one of them that was asked by his family. Every time I was with Joe he showed me nothing but class! His son Marvin and daughter were just as nice.
How tall would you say Tyson and Frazier were hhascup?

Frazier was using a cane so it would be hard to say, But here's some pictures of Tyson and myself in November. I stand just over 6 feet, Tyson is a little shorter.

Nice. Tyson tends to wear quite thick heels or chunky trainers anytime I've seen him on TV.

He has very large feet. I think he takes a 17 shoe.

This is murder. This fight would be like Frazier vs Quarry I. Not a recommended fight for the great Rocky Marciano.

Not that much difference physically between Frazier and Marciano. This would be a good fight. Could go either way. Depends on who wants it more that day. Marciano broke guys down round by round. Frazier could stop a guy with just one punch. Lots of blood flowing in this battle.

Another tough one I'm going Rocky here. Frazier's resume is better definitely and everything that everyone says about Rocky's record in a negative sense is true. However, I don't recall Rocky having guys just wade in there like Frazier would. Charles and Walcott were really really fast and slick boxers whilst frazier was hard to hit and really great ofc, he could be koed as Foreman showed. Rocky had to chase guys down mostly and Frazier would be right there trading with him.

It's a total war this and i'm going for a suprise here and Rocky landing his Suzie Q in the first few rounds and finishing frazier.

Ali once said in an interview that he thought Marciano was a better fighter than Joe Frazierhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GDaw2QFC1Qg

You all seem to forget and to factor in that the Rock had the mysterious "X-Factor" that modern science still can not explain.
Also he" Refused to Loose" and he never did of course.

I recall reading somewhere that Ali was actually very impressed with him when a fat, unfit, and long retired 45 year old Marciano and Ali sparred lightly/choreographed for that computerised fight malarkey.

Frazier climbs off the canvas in round 2, He rises at the count of 7 on groggy leg's but is punching back at the bell to end the round
With better upper body movement and approx 10kg pull in the weight's Frazier slowly starts to get on top of the Rock
In round 10 Smokin Joe drops Marciano with a huge left hook while Rocky is on the rope's the Rock rises at the count of 9
Frazier pounces on the wounded Marciano and the ref wisely steps in and saves the brave Marciano from further punishment.

I don't think it goes quite 10, but definitely agree with your end result.

Rocky and Joe would bear similarity to Frazier-Quarry I. Joe would fully assert himself by the third round and from then on slowly but methodically grind Rocky down. I think Rocky would be a mess at the end.

Prime Quarry and Rocky would be a very interesting fight, imo.

I'd pick Marciano. I do not think the size difference would make a difference that his heart would not compensate for. The quality of fighters he fought was not as great as the quality of the men Frazier fought and he did struggle with slick boxers like Charles and Wolcott. However Frazier was not a slick boxer. He was a straight ahead puncher with all around solid boxing skills.

I picture the two meeting up, both had one way of fighting move forward and punch, and watching either of them was a lot like watching a wrecking ball demolish a building. Personally I think Rocky's wrecking ball was bigger and heavier than Joes.

Rocky had a much better single punch power and as he showed with Wolcott one punch was all he needed to answer any questions the fight may have asked. I do not think Joe was as durable as Rocky even if his fighting heart was every bit as great.

I can't imagine the fight going more than 8 rounds.

Marciano dominated an incredibly weak era. One of his best opponents, Walcott, was an almost 40-yr old guy who was involved in seven title fights, five of them as challenger! Why? Because there was no one else around for promoters like James Norris to use. Rocky never fought prime guys like Quarry or Bonavena, guys with power and skill. Most of his opponents were old or one-dimensional or second class. This wasn't Rocky's fault. He fought whoever Al Weill signed him to fight and the talent pool was pretty shallow.

Smokin Joe punched harder than Archie Moore or Joe Walcott, two guys that dropped Marciano. It would be a great battle while it lasted, but I'd give Frazier a slight edge.
