How does Brook do against May or Pac?

Post by Happy Slapper »

Okay, so let me first say that I think Brook gets beat by both, but which one does he put in a better performance against, does he get stopped, wide UD, close but clear UD etc etc etc.

For me, Mayweather stops him late or wins a shutout UD and Pac blasts him out in about 4 or 5 rounds.

I can't see Mayweather stopping anyone to be honest, and there is no evidence to suggest that Pacman could blast him out when he has never been stopped and Pacman hasn't stopped anyone for a while now,i would give Kel a decent shot against either considering where they all are in their respective careers.

Mayweather wins a very wide points decision.
Pacquaio wins a slightly closer but still wide points decision.

Mayweather outpoints him handily.

Pacquaio gets him by TKO - I could just see Kell being overwhelmed by Manny's footwork and punching power, Brook wouldn't know what way to turn...

I genuinely think that Brook has a chance of beating either guy,I would make Floyd and Manny favourites but Kell's a lot more skilled than Maidana and Bradley

IMO Brook will be pushing for top 10 p4p next year

Never mind what Boxrec says, everyone knows Horse's rankings are the only ones that count around here. :TU:

Its hard to say ... Problem with May and Pac is there age ,, the signs are there that its catching up with them , but how much , there still at the top of the tree , but at the highest level you only have to slide a bit to be caught up and overtook .

I don't think either Mayweather or Pacquiao will box anyone else but each other.

I think people underestimate how tough Brook is. I don't think either stop him. Both would be favourites and rightly so but Brook would have a chance.

Before I make a decision, I'd have to see how they get on against a drink nutter in a flat in Tenerife.

I'd fancy him to stop Khan, he is too good not to have Khan in trouble at least once in the fight.

On the question: Floyd schools Kell, Pacquaio beats Kell but it will be closer than the Floyd fight and a much better fight because I think their styles would match up well and it would be a more entertaining fight.

Kells strength is his timing. It is exceptional and very much underated. His problem is that the only person in the world whose timing is better is mayweather. I think he gets beat on points vs him. Not a shut out but convincing. Would be a good tactical battle though as brook carries more power presently.

A big clue to how brook gets on vs pacquiao is to be shown on 2nd May. I would say that brook has a really good chance vs paquiao as he seems alot bigger and could just time him and boss him around. Saying that brooks fitness is still to be questioned as he has gassed in previous fights and thats a tough place to be vs carson jones never mind paquiao.

For the record i think kell gets to khan before the 12 rounds are up and stops him.

I think we'll know more after tonight to what extent Kell's recent horrific injury has affected him. Of course he and his team will say it's 100% but I can't see how it can't be causing him some discomfort at least. Wouldn't he have lost his belt if he didn't fight by round about now?

Pre- Machete by random nutcase Kell probably tried to seduce, i would give him a very good chance against Manny, i think Kell could very much revert to aggressive counter-puncher and make the fight incredibly interesting and possibly controversial.

Against Floyd im just not sure Kell is ever in with a clear shout, i don't believe his style works for that fight. wide pts defeat.

i think kell could stop both, fancy him ko pac man (2015), i think kell beating shawn porter was a tough and close fight , think that was a great performance that he don't get a lot of credit.

Well AK's performance was a lot more pleasing on the eye, but plenty of people who like and dislike Kell came on in the aftermath of his performance and praised him. Unfortunately he's been out the ring for some time and it is very easy to become a bit of an afterthought.
