Marcos Maidana rocked Khan in the 10th round

Post by psychod1986 »

After Maidana stole on him & hurted him,Khan was wobbling the whole round. Then after that Khan was in survival mode ,the last 2 rounds ,I was suprised ref didn't call the fight off.I see why Khan don't want a rematch with Chino,he know what it is! Image

You know what, I've just re-watched the 10th round of the fight and I do believe you're correct. It did look like Khan may have been hurt at some point during the round, surprised I didn't notice before. Well spotted.

I remember watching the fight and wondering why the ref didn't step in somewhere.

But, like Bradley showed against Provodnikov, the referee was ultimately right on not stopping it.

Would have completely understood if he did, tho.

Marcos,

posting on a forum isn't going to bait Amir into a fight.

Go on twitter and talk smack about his wife instead.

Mosley rocked Mayweather in the 2nd round. All fights should be stopped the moment that a fighter is rocked, right?

I admit I hate Khan more than most people, but will give him credit for the win. I do think that the ref helped him survive the 10th round though. For some reason, even in the Garcia fight, ref's let Khan wobble around longer than what they normally would stop it and call a TKO. Re-watch the Garcia fight and you will see what I mean. Khan staggered back to the corner and was out on his feet, and the ref let it go.
If I remember right though in the Maidana fight, Khan was ahead in the fight up to that point. The end result is what counts, and is what is on the books.
