A bit harsh to criticise the show.

The three Victorian titles were all good bouts with the crowd enjoying each of them for different reasons. It was good to see 6 local boys having a red hot a go in an effort to secure a title.

Esgandari and Don was a great battle with Esgandari down in the first and Don down in the second before trading leather for the remainder of the 8 rounder. Esgandari winner on points. Early contender for fight of the year!

Eyes and Goodrich was competitive but Eyes just had too much on the night for Goodrich. The corner retiring their man at the end of round 6 was a wise decision. Eyes the new Vic Champ

The main event, Breese and Diamandstein, was a busy affair with Breese working behind a stiff jab to keep Diamandstein off balance. It appeared who ever could control the bout coming forward would win and as a result of Breese jab and work rate he retained his Vic title.

As for the rest of the show bout 1, Dehaini too strong for Shefford, a body shot prior to the knocked down nearly broke Shefford in 2 and he never recovered. TKO win in first round for Dehaini. Bout 2, Assi out boxed his Thai opponent in every round, clear points winner. Bout 4, Zerafa in what would have to be a "keep busy" fight stopped his Thai opponent in 4 rounds. The bout was scheduled for 6 X 2 mins if they were 3 minute rounds I doubt it would have gone into the 4th.

There was another bout scheduled however a competitor did not show up to the weigh in due to illness and was not sufficiently well to compete on the show. Disappointing for his opponent who trained hard, made weight and was ready to fight.

I thought it was good-plus night's entertainment, except where Thais were in the mix. Perhaps auction should be conducted after every 3 bouts and short one at that. Long as it was might be OK for attendees, but not so stream viewers.

Promoters might need to rethink the auctions with live streaming. For mine the auctions are boring and take away from the show, but, online it would be worse. If the auctions are a money making venture for the promoters then they need to consider how many online subscribers will not subscribe to future shows unless they are advertised as "a night of auctions with the occasional boxing bout".

The ring auctions have always been pretty tacky affairs, and certainly don't make for good television.
