How Stevenson will perform against a tough-dirty fighter like Bika ?

Re: adonis stevenson vs sakio bika
Barring getting tagged with one of Bika's wild haymakers he should deal with him fairly comfortable, Sakio never makes life easy for anyone but Stevenson is bigger and a far better boxer than him
Bika is one of my least favorite fighters to watch but I hate Adonis and would love to see him getting bashed up with Bika's rock solid dome

I don't see why Bika can't do what Boone did. I will give him a 10-15% chance of stopping Stevenson. Bika's chances of winning on points are minimal.
Re: adonis stevenson vs sakio bika
Bika's recent form isn't good. He looked terrible in his last fight, mediocre the time before that (I think the draw with Dirrell was more down to what Dirrell didn't do rather than what Bika did), and not long before that he barely scraped by the tough but limited Periban, someone who has no business pushing serious LHW title challengers so close. He doesn't have notable power at world level so I don't think he has a puncher's chance, and aside from a large power deficit he's smaller and less skilled than Stevenson.
Considering this with the facts that he hasn't won in nearly two years and was hurt in his last two fights and dropped in one of them, I doubt that he wins this and I think that he'll be stopped for the first time. I believe that he'll struggle to physically impose himself on the larger Stevenson like he often does to SMW opponents, and without sufficient skill to effectively adopt another strategy I think that he's going to regularly walk into the left hand and be stopped without giving Stevenson many problems.

If you make all of your predictions of Stevenson fights based on his loss to Boone, then you are going to be repeatedly wrong. Stevenson is 12(11)-0-0 since the Boone fight, including a KO win against Boone. You might as well say "If Ross Puritty beat Wladimir Klitschko, then I will bet against Wladimir Klitschko every single time."ikorolev wrote:I don't see why Bika can't do what Boone did. I am not betting against him. If I gave 10-15% chance to Bika, it means that my betting odds are between 10:1 and 7:1. Having a suspect chin doesn't help Stevenson to have better odds from me.
... and by the way, here is my PTBF bet:
ikorolev,Stevenson,KO,7,2X
which doesn't mean that I wouldn't be glad if the pimp was stopped.

Would like nothing more than to see Bika win. But it is an extremely tall order coming up in weight and all.apollo creed wrote:How Stevenson will perform against a tough-dirty fighter like Bika ?

I'd love to see Bika beat Stevenson. Sakio is a fearless warrior who has always been willing to fight anybody, anywhere, anytime - it would be poetic justice for him to beat Adonis, the craven ex-convict.
Stevenson says he'll fight Kovalev, but I doubt it. But I know for sure if Bika wins, he'll be willing! And Bika-Kovalev will be a great matchup between two true ring warriors.
