DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
That's not the first stupid statement or action from Evander.

So that's a no from you, but he may be on to something especially when you think about it logically.......I mean this is boxing you know (not exactly known for being the cleanest sport in the world).ikorolev wrote:That's not the first stupid statement or action from Evander.
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
Many fans want Manny to win just to add intrigue to the WW division. However, it doesn't mean that judges in Vegas will help Manny. That is just ridiculous.KBB wrote:So that's a no from you, but he may be on to something especially when you think about it logically.......I mean this is boxing you know (not exactly known for being the cleanest sport in the world).ikorolev wrote:That's not the first stupid statement or action from Evander.
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
Let's not act if judges can't be bought, did you see the Sweet Pea vs Chavez fight?? No person in their right mind can tell me that fight was even remotely close.ikorolev wrote:Many fans want Manny to win just to add intrigue to the WW division. Fighters we all know can be bought, Liston did the worst case of acting in the history of bad acting in the rematch vs Ali.
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
Judges can be bought, but I think it is more likely that they will be bought by Floyd's team than by Manny's.

Who the frigg are those two morons they have on that show.
It is possible that Manny will get a decision he perhaps doesn't deserve, but it is a well known fact, that in Vegas, judges tend to lean towards the more aggressive fighter.
I can also easily see a scenario where Floyd simply doesn't throw enough punches consistently to win rounds.

Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
I want to say Evander has taken one too many punches...but then I look at some of the scorecards of judges in some of Floyd's recent fights and I can see what Holyfield is talking about.
For example, the first Maidana fight was no closer than 8-4 rounds. But one judge had it even. Same with Canelo.
I can see Manny getting more benefit of the doubt than these two. But it won't mean he actually deserves it.

Evander has blown how many million's :?? And his man Don King is nowhere in site THE BEST FIXER OF THEM ALL.
The fix was on when Chavez sr v Sweat Pea guess what NO REMATCH [more money for a rematch ]
The fix was on when Hagler v Leonard guess what NO REMATCH.
I could go on all night..................... We all know who Holyfields backing in the rematch.

Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
Mayweather's never been screwed by judges. Infact he got the benefit vs Castillo. Only CJ Ross has tried to screw him with her draw card in canelo fight.
Mayweather also got a lot from refs in his career, has he ever even been deducted a point? Dropped Gatti in rd1 when hitting on a break. Got out of a knockdown vs Zab. Should've been DQd vs Zab when his seconds entered the ring. Cortez just guessed he dropped Ortiz with a legal shot since his back was to the action.
Pacquiao on the other hand has been screwed by judges twice. In JMM1 a judge didn't know how to score 3 knockdowns. Bradley 1 is possibly the very worst I ever saw.

What break in the Gatti fight did he hit him at? I never heard the Ref yell "break" and it was Gatti's fault for assuming that the Ref was going to do something at that moment, it was just another case of "Protect yourself at all times".
I agree he got out of the knockdown with Zab because the Ref somehow missed that call, he didn't personally do anything wrong in the fight with Zab and therefore had no reason for them to dq him. You have said a lot of things here that are incorrect but I suspect that's just because you hate Floyd, still and all none of that has any bearing on this fight.
Holyfield has made a valid point.

Watch the gatti r1 again. Ref yells break and gatti steps off, floyd fires.KBB wrote:Ricky_ wrote:Mayweather's never been screwed by judges. Infact he got the benefit vs Castillo. Only CJ Ross has tried to screw him with her draw card in canelo fight.

And you don't know the rules re: floyd-zab. Seconds enter equals dq. See Molina v Kirkland. Molinas corner man enters after the bell but technically the round was ongoing as molina was being given a count at the time as he was dropped at the bell. Molina did "nothing wrong" as you put it, but dem da rulez.
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
I watched it again and the Ref yelled "stop punching" but he never defined when to actually stop by physically breaking them and he never stated when it was safe to resume fighting, he motioned like he was going to come between them but never actually jumped in between them until Floyd had already knocked down Gatti.Ricky_ wrote:Watch the gatti r1 again. Why blame Floyd? He was supposed to take advantage of the fighter not protecting himself at all times, what part of that do you not understand?
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
I agree with Holyfield about this fight going to a decision.
Re: DO YOU AGREE WITH HOLYFIELD??
Youre love for Floyd makes you look every bit the fool you are. Your hate for Floyd makes you look like every bit the idiot you are. The Ref said stop punching, Floyd stopped at that moment and the Ref didn't jump in so in all right Mayweather had the right to continue just as Roy Jones and Lampley both stated but I guess you know about boxing that Jones, right?Ricky_ wrote:Youre love for Floyd makes you look every bit the fool you are. So I guess Roy Jones is a fool too for applauding Floyd taking advantage in that situation? (rhetorical)
