Well, you have to give reasons.
As far as I can see, Bika is smaller, less skilled, slower and doesn't hit as hard. He's got a tough nut, but has been hurt in his previous couple of fights. His chances are minimal.

Re: You will all laugh, but...
It's actually not that unreasonable. I think Bika has fallen off in recent years, so I think the bigger and more skilled Stevenson will stop him around the middle rounds, but Bika has made a career out of making things ugly in there for his opponents one way or another. Stevenson hasn't looked great himself in recent fights either.

Idk about a decent chance, but Adonis is like 37 iirc. Guys can get old overnight at that age.

Bika is a similar age and has looked old for yearsReggieDiggs wrote:Idk about a decent chance, but Adonis is like 37 iirc. Guys can get old overnight at that age.

Looking & being are two different things. Sakio is the slightly younger guy as strange as that is to some cuz most of us have probably known Sakio longer & he does look old as f#ck.keirw wrote:Bika is a similar age and has looked old for yearsReggieDiggs wrote:Idk about a decent chance, but Adonis is like 37 iirc. Also everyone ain't built the same. Ali was on fumes at 34. Frazier was done before he was 30. Tyson was done by 24-25. Wlad & Floyd are still going strong at the elite level at damn near 40. Bhop is gonna die of old age during a one minute nappy time break after winning the previous round. I think Adonis is at that age where you can just wake up on fight day & be old & not able to pull the trigger like you used to.
Re: You will all laugh, but...
Bika is a live dog for sure. He has good skills and it won't be easy for Adonis to land a bomb. Adonis can have a tendency to wait for the perfect moment to land the big one, and could get outworked while waiting for it.
Wait, nevermind. The fight is in Montreal. As long as he is standing at the end of the night, he should be in good shape.

It'll be interesting to see how Stevenson reacts after he's landed his entire arsenal on Bika, and Bika is still plowing forward. Don't know if Bika wins, but he's going to give Stevenson hell.

This +1!!
Bika is a wild child, he leaves so many openings and gets caught cleanly all the time but many he's faced has haven't had the power to put him to sleep but Stevenson has the power, the skills, speed and timing to get the job done. I don't see this going the distance.
Re: You will all laugh, but...
Bika was down against Anthony Dirrell and stung multiple times. Considering his recent form and that he's facing a very hard punching LHW for the first time, I suspect that he won't still be plowing forward if Stevenson lands 'his entire arsenal'.Impractical Poster wrote:It'll be interesting to see how Stevenson reacts after he's landed his entire arsenal on Bika, and Bika is still plowing forward. Bika won't have won a bout in nearly two years come fight night (some way to earn a title shot in a division you've never campagined in) and just scraped by the limited Marco Antonio Periban in his second to last win. He also didn't give Dirrell hell in their rematch and I don't think as the smaller, slower, less skilled, and much less harder punching man who looked poor in widely losing his last fight he's going to give Stevenson hell either.
How does Bika have a decent chance of winning given the deficits he faces, the fact that he wasn't a puncher even at 168, and the fact that he's lost to every top opponent he's fought? And before mentioning Stevenson's age, keep in mind that his recent form is better than Bika's and they're not far apart in years anyway.

Oddsmakers don't consider him much of a "live dog."
The smaller, worn Bika is listed as a one-sided 16-1 underdog to the champion.
It's the same odds posted for Wlad over Jennings this month.

In my opinion Bika only hope is if Stevenson grows old during the fight and it won't happen Bika gone in 3
Re: You will all laugh, but...
Bika is getting knocked out. He's gonna come forward all night and walk into a left hand eventually. Nah nites.

I was having a really bad day, but then I read this comment and it made me feel so much better.
Stevenson in 4 or 5.

Re: You will all laugh, but...
LOL, that's funny because neither of them are American I could care less who wins. That should make it simple enough for the laymen, I just want to see Bika get KO'd.Baby Face Finster wrote:You must be torn over who to root for seeing as 1) they are both black and 2) neither is American!KBB wrote:drew kim wrote:I think Bika has a decent shot to beat Stevenson

I'm a proud Canadian and Stevenson is Canadian, but I hope Bika KO's him. See how someone can still be a proud citizen of one's country yet still root for the foreign fighter? This isn't a team sport, it's one on one, and unless the fighters are in the Olympics representing their countries I will root for the fighter I like better for whatever reason that may be. Let's see if a big gust of wind goes right over your head.KBB wrote:LOL, that's funny because neither of them are American I could care less who wins. this beaker has more of chance to beat Stevenson

Re: You will all laugh, but...
You see how simple your understanding of what I stated in my thread is? I never said anything about anyone not rooting for a fighter when they are fighting another fighter from the same country? If I did, then please show me?? I stated when a fighter is facing someone from another country.Baby Face Finster wrote:I'm a proud Canadian and Stevenson is Canadian, but I hope Bika KO's him. Yup, that gust of wind did go right over your head. You are simply not too bright. Read my post again...oh never mind you probably wouldn't get it on the second try either.KBB wrote:You see how simple your understanding of what I stated in my thread is? Let me break it down for your feeble little brain.I am Canadian and so is Stevenson. I consider myself a proud Canadian, yet I will be rooting for Bika. Stevenson is facing a foreign fighter not another Canadian. Do you understand that little guy? I never stated anything about a Canadian fighter fighting another Canadian.
Let's see if that sinks into that melon of yours.
