If this is true not even die hard Khan fans can defend him. It's a disgrace. Hope he gets banged out in 1.

Another decent payday for Algieri, never thought he'd be in big fights but fair-play to him. Poor fight though for Khan but guess Pacquiao fought Algieri in his last fight...

I've been expecting Khan to get beat recently, now I'm sure he'll win this fight he'll probably lose by SD

Makes sense. If he stops him he's got the angle of "I did better than Pacquiao"

Not sure what the point of this fight is, Algieri isn't a name, he lost one of the widest decisions in history to Pacquiao, losing every round while being bounced up and down off the canvas. In better news for Khan, the IBF have ordered a final eliminator between him and Bradley.

Very poor choice,i can't wait for Khan to try to sell this to us as a worthwhile opponent,i was hoping for Broner, but when you think about it for a while,it never was going to happen.

Algieri is the new Malignaggi - minus the charisma. Dropped 6 times in his 102-120 pasting by Pacquiao.

Khan's a case of 2 steps forward and 1 step back isn't he ?

He could have fought Brook, on PPV, at an 80,000 seat Wembley for an IBF welterweight title...

...picks this guy and then says "It will give my fans a chance to travel" !

I've paid good money to travel and watch Khan a few times and I used to be a bit of a fan but his hypocrisy boils ma piss :witzend: He's fighting lower risk guys because he obviously believes he's going to get a crack at the winner or loser of May vs Pacquiao. Fair enough it's his career but it could end up backfiring and stalling him even more. He had options and he's chosen the guy who's coming off a one sided slaughtering!

The man is delusional, does he think someone is going to spend a grand on this shambles, i can't think of a worse opponent,he should hang his head in shame.

Amir's obviously a day late with the April Fool's announcement.

Shame, I'd have been very happy with Broner.

Id piss myself laughing if Khan lost this one. That would certainly upset his plans although he would likely just sack his Trainer and move up another division.

I seriously dont understand this decision, how can his team think this is an acceptable option.

I defended a broner fight, but this is pish.

Hope Hearn and brook are ultra vocal in their damning of this fight.

I'm a big Khan fan but this fight isn't good at all.

Although ironically Algieri would be brooks 2nd best opponent if he were fighting him
