Anyone know much about Megrino have to admit I don't. Record doesn't look brilliant, I was hoping for better if I'm honest with Kal being one of the main undercard fights. Eggington and Callum Smiths opponents really need to be something decent or this show is looking like another poor one from Matchroom.

I give Matchroom a lot of stick but this is actually a TOUGH fight...IF Megrino's cut (suffered in an MMA fight) from March doesn't hinder his preparation.ste1983 wrote:Confirmed for Birmingham show 9th May,

Megrino's record looks like crap but he can BANG, he's tougher than his record suggests, holds notable wins on the road over Wongjongkam (admittedly their third meeting saw Rey fighting a shadow of the former Flyweight kingpin), Cuello, Myung Ho Lee and for what it's worth Kenji Kubo was a highly touted prospect (turned out to be a flop in fairness but the hope was high due to his kick boxing career).
I suspect Yafai will probably be too quick but it's a more dangerous fight than the records indicate and I'd suggest Megrino should be put with compatriots Rey Loreto and Gerpaul Valero as fighters with very misleading records.
