I was slightly disappointed with it being Broner, I am even more so with Algieri. I am a big fan of Khan, but if he wants to prove that he is worthy of Mayweather or Pacquiao then there is no point in fighting the man that Pac Man absolutely outclassed. Beating Algieri doesn't really prove anything at all for him. I think a very wide UD is likely.

Khan will take it. Algieri has nothing to upset him.

Good luck beating today's Khan when you have no power.

Khan will win in a shutout. Algieri has no power, this is a total gimme fight for Khan. Boring as hell.

I can not think of a fight I want to see less in the welterweight division.
This is a joke.Kahn is crazy to turn down $8 million to fight Brook. And for what this?
Pac or Mayweather have no interest in him and still won't after they settle their differences.

I got Amir, but he needs to be careful when they let Chris out of the cage.

Letting Chris Algieri out of a cage is the equivalent of letting your kids bunny out of his cage.
There is no fear factor. He has zero power.

Khan STILL playing defense, hoping to land that Mayweather fight without taking on a real challenger. He's not even with the right team to do it either. Unreal.

I am not defending Khan, but he may be aiming at Pac. Manny fought Algieri, so if Khan beats Chris and Manny loses to Floyd, then Khan can fight Manny.

If Manny loses to Floyd, who knows what that does to Manny's drawing power at age 35. He should be fighting Kell Brook and filling a stadium.

If Pac does lose the Floyd fight he retires. This is a retirement fund for either fighter.

After a brutal KO from Marquez, a decision loss to #1 p4p is not such a big deal and will not hugely affect Manny's drawing power. Of course, if he looks horrible, then it may become a problem.

I suspect this is the logic Amir is using myself. And I mean anytime a guy fights Floyd or Manny there is always value in the lower level guys fighting them. Keith just did this with Robert although thats a higher level version of it, but the same ends are the goal. Getting some comparisons to Floyd or Manny.

Or just thinking outloud if Amir was a smarter guy or if he's listening to a smarter guy (Haymon?) then maybe the move could be to bide your time til Floyd & Manny are gone after May or Sept. & be in the mix to take over the division post-the MayPac era. There could be a poor (ie broke) mans Hearns/Leonard/Hagler/Duran amongst Amir/Keith/Kell/Danny waiting after May 3 since the Floyd & Manny lotteries are going out of business soon.

This fight is happening because of dickheads (many on this forum) who keep talking about Khan as if he is relevant at the top 10 level.

... and if you and him believe it so much, why doesn't he prove it against any of the following fighters?
Marquez
Thurman
Brook
Maidana
Porter
Bradley
Chavez
Guerrero
Garcia
Mattysse
Peterson
Broner
Provodnikov
Alvarez
Lara
Andrade
Charlo
Charlo
Cotto

How does any rational boxing fan justify Khan getting to jump every name on that list to fight the winner of Floyd/Manny?
