Frankie Gavin vs Timothy Bradley...

Post by Boxing Prospect »

From Dan Rafael on Twitter-
IBF ordered 147 eliminator between @Timbradleyjr & @AmirKingKhan. IBF said Khan turned it down. So next up to face Bradley: @frankiegavin1.

That's an interesting fight and I wouldn't be surprised if Gavin sneaked a close points win. Gavin struggled with Bundu's size and strength more then anything but I think Bradley is just muscle and not real strength. I hope Bradley takes the fight, he doesn't have many other options

Although Gavin will probably end up as our Judah (gifted but never will fulfil his talents)

Won't happen - if it did for some bizarre reason Bradley would smash though him easy

I can't see Gavin troubling Bradley at all.

Khan vs Bradley is a very good fight.
Bradley vs Gavin is a mismatch.

He may well out man him and be too strong down the stretch but he definately wouldn't box his head off, Gavin might not have enough to keep him off but he can certainly box

Gavin beats Bradley  just spat my orange juice out there. He's nowhere near Judah in terms of talent either.

Gavin/Bradley Eliminator for the IBF

Post by GlobalBox »

WIth Khan turning down Bradley the IBF have moved to the next available contender and thats Frankie, huge opportunity for the Birmingham
man plus would get him the automatic shot when the time came against Kell.

Massive step up for Gavin but a shot he has to take if the offers there. I can seeing Bradley roughing him up on the way to a decision but Gavin would certainly redeem himself in a lot of people's eyes if he managed to pull off a win.

If Gavin beat Bradley it would be a huge win. He'd be ranked higher than Brook and Khan at welterweight if he beat Bradley.

Anyone still slagging him off would look like a fool.

Bundu was Catching the Elusive Gavin Quite alot with Flurrys so cant see Bradley having much probem

Gavin would need to show some of that classic Movement and be on top form to box his way to win that fight as he certainly doesnt have the power to keep someone as solid as Bradley off

i hope it happens

Wow thats a real tough fight for Frankie. Bradley is real top 5 stuff in this division and is really skillful. I'd love to see Frankie go and win it but Bradley is really classy and i don't think he can outbox him. Bundu beat him and look what Thurman did to bundu. IMO Bradley is a level up from Thurman. Thats a tough night for Frankie i would have thought.

Isn't frankie being talked about maybe fighting brook?

bradley will steam through gavin. had gavin been training like bradleys does, for the past three years, then he wouldve had a chance. if bundu can beat gavin, bradley will embarass him. bradley is definately top 3

Another Brit sent over to the states for a battering. I know physiques don't win fights but Gavin is an embarrassment compared to the ultra pro that is Timothy Bradley. Mismatch. Bradley rounds 6-10 by TKO.

Regardless of what he did as an amateur, Gavin is domestic level as a pro. I'd not fancy his chances in this a bit.

I'd say European level as his fight with Bundu was very close.

Probably will end up another Rose-Andrade but I can dream. I hate how Bradley got a gift over Pacquaio, he got what he deserved against Chaves.

He showed huge heart against Bundu. Not many would have got up from that body shot.

If there is one kind of fighter who doesn't need to win an IBF eliminator of this type, its the fighter who happens to share the same manager/promoter as the IBF champion. This fight will not happen because Eddie doesn't need Frankie to beat Bradley to get a shot at Kell Brook....

agreed jim , but will the public buy into Brook v Gavin ? think Gavin needs to prove himself at this elite level , but if he gets the shot against Bradley must be a massive underdog

That's true, but how close did Bundu ever get to hurting Thurman? Bradley & Thurman operate at a higher level than Gavin & Bundu.
