Campillo vs. Beterbiev

Post by jujigatame »

This fight seems too important not to be televised but it's not on any of the PBC advertising for the Stevenson/Bika card. Anyone know if it's going to get coverage?

They probably don't want to show a fighter who will look better than headlining Stevenson.

Unless this is a one fight TV card, Beterbiev will almost assuredly be televised in order to raise his profile with public and to build him for Stevenson. Nothing else makes sense.

I'm still getting my bearings on which fight is on NBC, ABC, CBS, NBC Sports, ESPN, Bounce & whoever I forgot so idk where this is even gonna be shown off the top of my head, but its a rare thing when a boxing card is only one fight so I'd suspect that fight will be on the air. I think these guys have lil name recognition might be why they were left out.

Looking at the TV schedule I'm seeing this show will be 2 hours so obviously gonna be more then one fight. If its not this one I'd be surprised.

That's pretty solid evidence it'll be televised, I think.

What chances are people giving Campillo here? On the one hand he's much slicker and more skilled than anyone Beterbiev has fought so far. On the other hand Campillo has been stopped before and Beterbiev has blown away everyone he's faced.

Not a good one. I'm on the early Artur bandwagon. I think he'll eventually beat Adonis &/or Sergey so Campillo gots his work cut out for him.

Campillo is a bit chinny and a slow starter....not a good mix against someone like Beterbiev who starts fast and can seriously bang.

I think Beterbiev wins by early stoppage.

Beterbiev has issues with movement and slick boxers so Campillo will exploit those flaws. Campillo doesn't have a great chin so that is the dilrmna here. Can his chin hold up to getting hit a few times?

The odds on this fight have actually dropped from -4000 to -1500 at my book.

Who in their skull is actually betting money on Campillo in this fight? He will get run over. It's not 2007.

It cant and wont hold up. And Campillo aint as slick as he used to be. The legs are shopworn.
