Almost all the blame lies with Diaz who must be the biggest whinger in boxing,I can't believe the guy was a world champion only a couple of years ago,he's a bit shop worn so I can't blame him for trying to make it ugly and to try not let Petrov get into a rythym but don't cry when the slightest infringement happens against you
The thing is when he concentrates on boxing he's fine but he's too busy looking for a way out for the most part,he did it last time out when he came over to England to fight Anthony Crolla,Gamaliel started that fight well and for the first 2 rounds Crolla was struggling a bit and getting tagged then after an accidental head clash,Diaz got a cut and basically quit without even pretending that he wanted to continue and told the doctor and ref he wasn't continuing, he should have lost by TKO as he didn't even let his corner work on it and the fight ended in a tech draw
And he was at it again last night and the ref probably should have just let him quit,Diaz is experienced enough to know the rules,he knew what he was doing, there's nothing wrong with quitting during a fight, its a tough sport but don't quit when your still in the fight, its baffling
I scored it the same as 2 of the judges,97-90 Petrov,Petr didn't seem at the races last night and maybe if Diaz put more effort into winning then maybe he could have got something out of it
I thought the KD Diaz scored in the 1st was harsh though and I didn't know if the ref deducted a second point from him in the 7th as it went to an advert
