Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
Only just noticed that Chad Dawson lost to Tommy Karpency late last year. I always did think he was one of the most over-rated guys I'v seen.
Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
I was also never keen on Simmons, I think he thought he was better than he was - very average fighter bulled up by his own hype and a big ugly head to go with it haha!

Tonight's card is ridiculously bad though barring that first fight.
Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
Is this actually happening?

Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
I'd have it down as the worst Matchroom card I'v seen (in terms of matchups) since they came back. But we saw in the first fight that these close domestic fights aren't worth just discounting. I remember there was a card in Leeds that I thought was poor but Tyrone Nurse v Dave Ryan ended up being an excellent fight. People harp on wanting a return to the Friday fight night days, well honestly a fight like Simmons v Dickinson and Joshua v Gavern are two fights that would be headlining some Friday fight night bills. Difference is we now expect World title fight 50-50s every time there's boxing on sky.TheCobra wrote:Tonight's card is ridiculously bad though barring that first fight.

That left from Stevenson is some punch, could be one of the best punches in boxing right now, Bika feeling it often!

Decent commentary team here, so much better than Nick Halling
Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
Haymon seems to have some sort of idea of setting his own version of UFC, all going well he will be left bankrupt.ProMayhem wrote:What's with premier boxing and no belts on show ?

Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
Stevenson is now the second biggest twat in boxing after Broner. His antics in this fight are pathetic and disrespectful to Bika
Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
Ref should step in and put a stop to it, he's in there to box not dick about.brian13 wrote:Stevenson is now the second biggest twat in boxing after Broner. His antics in this fight are pathetic and disrespectful to Bika
Re: Newcastle and Stevenson v Bika discussion
Travis Dickinson has been knocked out in the first round, he was 1/33 bookies favourite for the fight. Wow.

No right hook, an under used jab, and complete reliance on his straight left....

Should that not be Bika's job to put a stop to it? He can't get near him thoughexpe wrote:Ref should step in and put a stop to it, he's in there to box not dick about.brian13 wrote:Stevenson is now the second biggest twat in boxing after Broner. Although I doubt it knowing Sky, more likely to show the Stephen Smith tune up fight with a weeks notice or hopefully the Berbetiev fight.

I think Stevenson will beat Kovalev. That left is just too good.

Stevenson is a prick, Kovalev would smash him.
