Stevenson really does have super long arms - his dangling lead hand is almost down to his knee. He must a nightmare to box as poor old Bika is finding out.

There's always a chance Bika could land something but so far he's landed zilch, Stevenson is very cagey for such a big puncher

Ah well, cant win em all. I was following the round by round over on bad left hook, by the sounds of it Bika did get into it a little in the late rounds which is what i was hoping would happen. SOverall though it sounds like he got outclassed by a far better, but potentially vulnerable fighter (down the stretch).

Bika had a go but just wasn't big enough and he didn't have the power to trouble Stevenson.

Are the rumours Bertebiev struggles to make LHW true? I hadn't heard this until someone mentioned it the other day...

Hadn't heard that but he finished his amateur career as a CW despite the amateur LHW limit being 178, so I doubt that it's a breeze for him to make 175.

Interesting, he does not look huge at the weight either. I'm not sold on the guy's pro credentials yet, as of today i'd take Kovalev to maul him.

I was very high on him during his amateur days and I still consider him someone who will likely be a top LHW for several years, but I'm not sold on him being a monster who will run through the division and I think his two best opponents have been very well chosen for him to shine against; Cloud is an inside slugger who essentially fights Beterbiev's fight, Campillo is notoriously chinny and slow starting while Beterbiev is a power puncher who starts fast, and they're both shopworn.

He's clearly top ten already in my view and his power is impressive and well documented going back to his amateur days, but he's also fairly crude and hasn't been past four rounds, a duration in which stamina issues often don't appear even if present. He was also dropped two fights ago and the champs of the division can certainly punch.

I'd like to see him fight someone like Eleder Alvarez or Issac Chilemba next, who are relatively young, fellow contenders with momentum rather than shopworn vets who are probably in the twilight of their careers. I suspect these fights would also make him more prepared for a title challenge against Kovalev or Stevenson.

He can certainly punch and his short punches are especially impressive, the light heavy division has some really exciting fighters.
