This is a good one Zab Judah is now blaming Don King for his loss against Baldomir, he thinks that King conspired to make him lose because Judah was getting to big for him .

"Don is smart," Judah said. "He's been around a looooooooong time. You know how when sometimes your boat gets too big for your garage? You've got to get rid of it. Same thing when you have a dog that's sometimes no longer controllable. And the dog knows that when you hit him, to fight back. He wanted to get rid of that."

Well it wasn't King that almost knocked out Judah in the 7th, This has got to be one of the worst excuses i've heard in a long time.

He's the only one there is to blame for his loss... I have no doubt that a fully focussed and well trained Judah would have put on a much better performance than that... He couldn't even make the weight at the first attempt

As pointed out here, what's in it for Don, he just lost a PHAT paycheck for the Judah v Mayweather bout...what a prannock Zab is, he's always got someone else to blame.

zab judah is still a whining crybaby who will ALWAYS find a way to blame someone else for his failures---whether it's don king or jay nady (ref he attacked after tszyu fight)...zab is a MASTER OF DENIAL!!!

I've always disliked Judah's arrogant and immature attitude. I was almost as angry as Judah against Jay Nady for not letting the fight go on against Tszyu, so that Kostya could have laid him out for a few minutes.

And what in god's name is that thing in Judah's mouth???? It looks like ke has been eating aluminium foil and has a piece stuck in his teeth.

I am slightly disappointed - I wanted Ricky to KTFO out Judah, to me (and its always easy to wise after the event) this would have happened as Judah has always had a soft chin - remember Jan Bergman floored him!!!

They are nice fights. I'd like to see Witter in with Cotto, mind. Although Team Cotto will probably slice off their own nuts before they let that one happen.

Plus Castillo's clearly coming up, and probably bringing Corrales with him. Castillo - Hatton could be frighteningly good.

Hatton is by far the biggest draw, and Cotto has a far bigger fanbase than Mayweather....neither Mayweather or Judah are anywhere near the stars they think they are.

Mayweather may give boxing officianados a hard-on, but he needs an opponent like Gatti to even feature on PPV.

One of the reasons I can see a fight between Hatton and Mayweather never happening is that Hatton will be by far the bigger draw, but you just know that Mayweather will want parity or better on the purses. Hatton's reaction, may be, perhaps justifiably, "fornicate you mate."

I hope I'm wrong, but when Hatton is the guy with a hardcore fanbase and a proven ability to sell PPV numbers, this could turn out to be the case.

Judah may get up people's noses, but he still an excellent boxer and has mixed in good company and faired well on the whole. Trying to justify Judah's supposed lack of ability by stating he got knocked down (one example used Bergman) doesn't wash. What I remember is Zab showing grit and battering Jan to defeat. That's what counts.

Yes he comes up short sometimes (to everyone's pleasure :) ) but it should be balanced with the knowledge (like it or not) he stil a very good boxer. Some of the comments are ridiculous, please don't think I'm defending them.

Nobody doubts his ability, but thats only part of what makes a great fighter. The other half is determination, and application. Judah came up short against Cory Spinks in their first fight, because he probably thought he would just go in there and knock his head off, hence he lunged at him all night throwing wild haymakers. He stayed focussed in the second fight and pulled out the win with a display of him at his best, but how often does he produce his best against the best?

Judah is a very good fighter on his best night, but he's not a great fighter. Coming up short against Baldomir is inexcusable if he's as good as the thinks he is, he should have beaten him. Trouble is, Judah thinks he's way better than he is, and obviously didn't focus properly on the task at hand or the other case is that he just isn't that good, or certainly not good enough to be a dominant force at Welterweight.

To beat Mayweather he would either have to land an almighty humdinger which poleaxes him, or stay focussed every second of every round. Neither scenario seems particularly likely to me, but the chances are we will never know because he shot his wad against an Argentinean journeyman.

Yes Judah is talented, but unlike true all time greats, his inconsistent training and concentration will prevent him living up to his natural born talent.

James did you even see the first Judah-Spinks fight, I had Judah winning by a point or 2. Allot of people said this fight was boring. I thought if was a really impressive display of skill and had an exciting end.

Judah underestimated Baldomir and didnt expect a challenge - he not the first Viv Harris/Lennox/Tyson-Douglas/RJJ even the great SRR lost because of complaicancy.

Judahs beat Witter/Spinks/Ward/Pineda/Corley - all better than Baldomir. LEts not foget the Baldomir fight was close (7-5) - Judah probably thought he'd be given the decision.

I think people are overally harsh on Judah, he does trash talk but thats some fighters style, Hatton doesn't talk trash he just ducks his fellow profesionals meaning they don't get title shots and don't get paid.

Not surprising he's coming up with wild excuses, he's just seen his retirement fund fly out the window.
Was he really unprepaired, or did his chin just let him down, as before? Sounds like he had in under control, until getting wacked in the 7th....

Shame the PBF fights was blown - really thought Zab could have tested Floyd like no other - but if his chin is this bad...well maybe not.

Still - the talent is there, and he's potentialy just one win away from another big fight. He might be seen as damaged goods now, but say if Hatton got in the ring with him next up.
You can bet the Hatton camp would be sweating bullets until it's over.
