NZ vs AUS Battle of the Anzacs

Post by bennyaha1 »

There has been allot of talks about this recently from NZ boxing fans
I have even seen plenty of comments on of people requesting this
Personally i would love to see this especially on ANZAC Day maybe next year
What are your opinions on this?
How would you Structure the PPV?
Would you do it NZ Tile vs AUS Title?

Australians and New Zealanders fighting each other on ANZAC Day is rather ironic, as ANZAC Day is that one day of the year, where Australians and New Zealanders, stand shoulder to shoulder and unite in their mutual respect and honour of their fallen comrades from all fields of conflict, since the events so long ago that happened on the shores of Gallipoli on 25th April 1915.

Call it an ANZAC boxing tournament by any means, but don't hold it on the 25th April. For example, the NRL holds an ANZAC Test between the two countries, but it is not held on ANZAC Day.

You make it sound like it was a dodgy decision, it was close but fair.

Look i'm not calling anyone a cheat and it's not just NZ boxing judge's but expectation by a hometown crowd[peer pressure].
Judge's are only human some [not all] listen to the roar of the crowd a bit to much instead of judging the fight on what is really happening
All my year's following this game i'm well aware what happens when your picked as the opponent in someone's back yard especially when a world ranking is on the line for the winner so when I read the three judge's score card's and see how close they scored the fight I don't need a Jackson fan
telling me it's fair and i'v spoken to some people who were their and they said King Carroll was dudded do you need it spelt out in capital's REMATCH

So you haven't actually seen the fight but he got robbed, your workmates, sisters, neighbours, friends, occasional childminder told you so  I certainly wouldn't call myself a Jackson fan, he's a good honest boxer who gives value for money, even in nzs small group of professional boxers, i wouldn't rate him top ten fighters I'd pay to see, a rematch in oz would be great financially for Gunnar (and after fighting mundene on short notice in aus, it certainly wouldn't be something he wouldn't consider). Agree REMATCH

Agree rematch and I reckon Gunner is a pretty good fighter too he's building a good rep i'm trying to get a copy of the fight from a friend who happened to be at the fight's true story [Gunner] himself and King Carroll will make great fight on a Fox Fight night if they have any in 2015
and I must admit I never heard of Gunner before the Mundine fight and his gritty display has helped his career in leaps and bounds
world rated and he has got a decent record :bag: King Carroll I believe will have big couple of year's if he stay's active.
