1. Barney Ross
4. Joe Gans
6. Alexis Arguello
9. Carlos Ortiz
10. Tony Canzoneri

I dropped McFarland from the list, Duran beat him twice. I dropped Wilson because he is facing Angott.

I saw Gans and Arguello both had interest. Are they both still interested? Gans might have a possible Leonard fight?

Ross, Ortiz, and Canzoneri, any interest from their camps?

Just trying to see the possible best opponents. I really would like to avenge Duran's draw with Mayweather or the close loss to Leonard. With the tourney starting next week though, it wouldn't make sense for Duran to drop his belt.

Ken Buchanan will fight Frank Erne.

Esteban DeJesus will fight Jean Baptiste-Mendy.

Unless we get called out, so these are kind of provisional fall backs.

Bennys manager has had testicular troubles and has offered a shot to one of Gans victims instead. We would gladly face the monster Duran

That is the fight I want to see myself. I'll see what Leonard does, and after that the rest of the belt fights should fall into place.

If the Duran fight falls through, then it's a deal. I think Duran is up for it though :box:

Hello to geto....and all of the highly esteemed participants here in Sim' all' ya.

Here is an interesting proposal:

I believe that Whitaker may be able to face Duran under the following expectations, and it would not goof with the rules.

IF Sweet P wins, Durans title would be open....since Sweet P can NOT hold two belts currently.

IF Duran wins,,,he has unified 3 titles...and I believe he is eligible to unify.

OR.....Sweet P can drop the WBO....and face Duran for his titles.

However if the joint commish has a stable of narrow definition lawyers...I suppose they could say NO based on the fact that Duran is not rated by the WBO.....and Whitaker is not rated by whatever fly by night alpha-belt Duran is currently holding.

Nevertheless....our highly regarded first class organization, will not hesitate to attempt to make the very best fights, even when red tape and bureaucracy stand in the way.

A Duran vs Whitaker fight will NOT be a unification. Neither of them have achieved three defenses... Duran is only able to unify the WBA Title, and he currently holds the IBF.

Duran is the reigning IBF Champion. All the four World Champions are removed from the other title rankings.

Arguello still wants the fight. If there's 1 guy this season that Alexis wants to fight, it's Mr Duran. We believe that it would be an explosive bout that would enrapture and delight the fans.
