Both ppvs for £30
Both ppvs for £30
I have started asking people on Twitter to tweet @skysportsboxing and ask them to consider making both May ppvs available at a combined discounted price of £30. Please do the same if you agree. #2FOR30

Re: Both ppvs for £30
Alternatively stream it as a big FU to Hearn and Sky...
Re: Both ppvs for £30
That's 15 each... not exactly a discount. They were priced 14.95 not so long ago.
Brook v Gavin should be boycotted to send a clear message.

I think both Eddie and Brook make great points about PPV in this article

Re: Both ppvs for £30
The choice of Brooks two comeback oponents (post leg injury) confirms that. I've no doubt Brook will fight anyone in the division, but he's taking the piss fighting Dan and Gavin in hjs first defences of his so called world title. He's supposed to be a world champion FFS, he's supposed to fight top contenders to the throne!chad wrote:I think both Eddie and Brook make great points about PPV in this article

These fights are shameless many grabs. Hearns most likely rammed Brooks nut full of it "lets make a mint before fighting anyone who has a realistic chance of winning". Brooks clearly on board with that. It was only a wek ago Gavins name surfaced as a 'possible' oponent, less than a week later and already contracts have been signed and the show is being promoted! You cant tell me that was not pre-orchestrated by Matchroom.

Dan was the mandatory, so he had to fight. He didn't choose him he had to fight him.ALI wrote:The choice of Brooks two comeback oponents (post leg injury) confirms that. The only reason I can see for fighting frankie is not the money but kell wants to be active and tune up from the stabbing before fighting a named fighter, the blowout v dan probaly didn't test him, hopefully frankie will do a better job in giving kell ring time.
Then end of the summer, he can fight rios who Eddie reckons their in discussions with, before another decent name by Xmas.
Not bad for someone who they tought wouldn't fight again just weeks after winning the title.
I bet Darren barker wishes he had a mandatory like dan before walking into his fight

Re: Both ppvs for £30
Id rather pay for mayweather then get rid of sky altogether, anyone who thinks the 2nd ppv is worth payin for nees to look in the mirror and av a word with themselves,if dont pay theyn the next ppv wont happen but ppl will still pay and this time next year we will be having the same posts gettin posteddbflex wrote:I have started asking people on Twitter to tweet @skysportsboxing and ask them to consider making both May ppvs available at a combined discounted price of £30. Re: Both ppvs for £30
Well, I'm not paying for it. It should not be a PPV.
Re: Both ppvs for £30
It's a good card providing there is no pull outs. Not so sure it's PPV though I will probably buy it because I don't want to miss it and I am looking forward to it. Had the same situation last year I think where it was a good card but no actual PPV stars on the bill (magnificent seven or whatever. Not sure). PPV should be about top class fights and (or) actual box office stars which are in short supply nowadays. It wasn't so long ago that Sky were making a big deal out of not making anymore PPVs for the fans blah blah etc... Now it's getting worse than before.
Re: Both ppvs for £30
Sky are trying to claw back as much money as possible to recoup the cash they had to pay out fror the football.
Re: Both ppvs for £30
its an effing pishtake, I stood my ground in not getting clev v bellend and I aint getting this one either, the frustrating thing is its actually a good card but it isn't anywhere near a ppv show, cant understand who they are targeting this show at its not as if anyone on this show has a massive fan base, got to start thinking of cancelling sky now its just not worth the money im shelling out every month.
Re: Both ppvs for £30
Cheap night in I'll be buying

TalkTalk customers are getting Mayweather Vs. Pacman for £14.95!
http://blog.talktalk.co.uk/newsroom/may ... lktalk-tv/
Why are SKY customers getting charged £5.00 more? Surely SKY could have offered both PPVs to SKY customers for £30? There's greed, and then there's blatant greed. SKY subscribers getting pumped yet again.

Re: Both ppvs for £30
I guess Sky could argue they actually have the genuine overheads of sending a commentary crew out to Vegas, whereas TalkTalk will just be using Sky's feed so will cost them a lot less to broadcast.chad wrote:TalkTalk customers are getting Mayweather Vs. Pacman for £14.95!

Anyway, Devil's Advocate aside, what more do you expect from Sky, money-grabbing bastards.

Anybody who buys Brook/Gavin should be banned from Boxrec.
Re: Both ppvs for £30
I'm not paying for either, can't be bothered sitting up till 5am for Mayweather v Pacquiao and 5 hours of Johnny Nelson talking crap and Brook v Gavin is a rubbish main event for SKY Sports let alone PPV.

Re: Both ppvs for £30
Have they confirmed the price for the O2 card yet?
I was hoping it would be back at the £15 mark atleast or have Sky used the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight to sneak in £20 as standard.

Re: Both ppvs for £30
thankfully i go to Ibiza on the 30th so wont have the option to buy it, it really is goingto look shit promoting this Pay per view after all the Build up /Hype and aftermath of this Huge Fight this week,
i know Eddie and Sky will use this later as the winner could fight Mayweather/ Pacquio ect but its not on , i hope it bombs , i have nothing against the fighters ( although they both beat my brother ) but i really isnt a pay per view worthy fight / Card and the fact there doing 2 in a month is a Disgrace.
Hopefully this one this weekend is the last one i need to pay per view for and im quite happy to do so.

Does your brother think this is an easy fight for Kell having been in with both?

Re: Both ppvs for £30
I caved on Bellew v Clev even though I knew it wasn't a PPV quality fight or card. Then afterwards I was thoroughly pissed off with myself.
No problem chucking £20 at May Pac this weekend - that is definitely worth it. Brook v Gavin is a million miles from PPV and the undercard isn't inspiring either.
I can categorically say, 100%, that there is no way I'll be buying this even if Sky do package it up as a deal with May Pac. Literally zero chance of me caving this time.
