I think it is taking the proverbial now with 2 ppv's in a month on top of the sh1t that was Cleverly v Bellew, not alone are they risking the commercials of the Brook v Gavin ppv itself but also that diehard boxing fans will cancel sky sports and just stick with allegedly who deliver much better value.

I am a football fan as well and like many others I am increasingly disenchanted with the obscene amount of money in the game. I often think that if a campaign was started by the fans to simultaneously cancel their sky sports subscriptions (& bt sport) how long would it take for the whole house of cards to come down.

All in all they are going down the U.S. route and that is not going to work in the long run here as fans simply won't pay for numerous ppv's a year.

I won't buy it though I'd like to see the bouts, I honestly think it should be on 'normal' SKY Sports. I didn't cave in over the Bellew PPV and felt good about it.

I believe a lot of people will give in on the night regardless of what they vote after all we all love our boxing!

The thing is we can show our love of the sport more eloquently by not buying; the PPV system for bouts that are not worthy of PPV is harming the sport.

There's something glorious about watching a grainy quality stream online knowing that your saving money. Im the first to pay a ppv when its a top notch event therefore I dont grudge paying for Mayweather v Pacquiao but for Brook v Gavin? Not a chance in hell.

Their styles will likely clash to make a snorefest of fight and those who are fooled into paying for it will probably feel like they have been conned by the final bell.

Brook v Khan, I could accept a PPV for that.
Frampton v Quigg: Also, Yes.

With the exception of them two then there arent many other British fights that spring to mind that i would see as ppv worthy. That includes any combination of Haye, Fury, Price, Joshua.

Anyone who loves boxing shouldn't be buying sh!t like this PPV; it's marginalising an already minority sport.

One way I look at it being a football fan as well on Super Sunday they have had say Manchster United v Chelsea and Arsenal v Liverpool back to back.

That was never PPV

I've nothing against any of the fighters involved but i will not buy this. They are not world stars, they are not involved in a high profile unification and they are not fights people are crying out for. In fact, more than most are calling brook v gavin a joke.

I didn't buy cleverly v bellew and while i don't have any right to tell people what to do, i would hope most will not buy it either.

I know people say it's only £18 and a cheap night in but it's the principle. How many times are we as boxing fans meant to bend over and take it whilst we're fed shite. The people who still pay for sky sports are paying arpund £100 a month plus £20 for a genuine ppv fight then £18 for some standard fare

This card is never PPV in a hundred years and I'll take pride in not paying a bean for it.

Eddie is seriously overestimating the pulling power of what... Selby, Mitchell, Joshua v Johnson and Brook v Gavin.. It's getting farcical. The common man in the street doesn't know any of them.

How can any sport grow if it is constantly pushed away from the next generation of viewers?

I'm paying a fortune for Sky as it is.

And nothing to the boxers involved, I want to watch the fights, of course I'm a boxing fan. Will I pay, no. Will I still watch the fights, yes.

Will not be buying it ch5 and ITV have shown better fights over the last few months sky whilst i still enjoy watching it just havent delivered and as soon as anything worth looking forward to comes about it becomes PPV. I only pay for sky sports for 2 reasons 1 is football and the other is boxing as mentioned hope no one buys it

None of the proposed fights are what I call 'must see' and the best at that moment, unlike Tyson when they first went to PPV. Now they're flogging stuff that is just about good enough to headline the normal SKY Sports Cards as PPV worthy and taking the subscribers for mugs.

I caved at the last minute for Bellew/Clev and was angry with myself afterwards, as that fight and card was no way PPV and it proved not to be worth it in the end anyway.

I can categorically say, 100%, that I will definitely not be payin for this one. This is just a good Saturday Fight Night card and nothing more. In fact, I think there's potential for a lot of the fights to be absolute stinkers.

Adam Smith needs to wake up fast, as this Matchroom monopoly has gone on too long and serves no purpose. Let some other promoters in and let's start getting decent fights regularly. The sport needs it.

It's the principle of the matter. People pay a monthly subscription and when something decent finally comes along you've got to lump more out on top.

Imagine if football fans had signed up to sky to watch premier league football only to later be told that they could watch the likes of Hull, Leicester, Palace, QPR, Villa, Burnley etc when they play but any games featuring Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City would only be available for an extra £5 per game.

I'm pretty sure it did happen a few years ago and it absolutely died on it's arse as football fans refused to have the piss taken out of them. Some boxing fans just like to see it as a cheap night in rather than being taken for ride.

My hope is that allegedly channel doesn't go down the PPV route; if so, Im going to start watching bowls or darts.

Is there any fan accord the world that gets striped as much as the boxing fans? At least the MMA cards deliver a host of even matches, and Wrestlingmania fans can be guaranteed a controversial night due to scripting LOL

It's not the biggest deal to any of us Marlo; I just feel that I'm being made to pay twice having paid for SKY Sports.
