Signing with Mark Bateson is a kiss of death for any fighter, unless you want to spend your career boxing six rounders in front of 300 people in the LUFC .. 'Banqueting Suite'

to be fair those shows have done a lot for grass roots pro boxing in the city these last few years, and Bateson has taken a few of his lads on the road for decent wins, picked up a few titles, done alright i'd say?

Yeah came back and fought out of the city after being out in the States for a few years. You could tell that from his style too, he had real classy parrying/movement from the waist/riding shots etc, that you rarely get from UK/Euro schooled fighters these days.

Never forget him hammering Ricky Burns at the Town Hall, still can't really believe what Burns has achieved since, thought he'd go nowhere after seeing that destruction

like you say he was real value for money, great to watch, just didn't have the 'New Age Promoting' that Warrington does #vinniejones #4minuterounds #beachballs 8)

Johansson was a great wee fighter,he gave an unbeaten Mitchell a hard fight,I thought he was gonna win the Kirakosyan rematch coz he was in good form but he ended up getting KO'd again, he was a shell of a fighter by the time he fought Gethin

I was there. Was there when Levi sopped hi as well, good, strong kid though. Dropped a middleweight pal of mine in sparring. Body shot. Tough kid as well.

I trained under Jason Gledhill, Miller and Paul Daniel for a while at Tigers in Meanwood. Best coaches I've had by a mile, I learned a huuuuuge amount there.

Leeds are my favourite English team and I try to get down to Elland Road once a season at least. I'd love to take in a game then a fight on the same weekend if possible. Only thing is I take my kids to the football and the Leeds boxing looks a bit too rough for the cubs Probably not a good idea for their first fight experience lol.
