Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
Apparently this fight maybe a go June 20 on a PBC card. Hope it happens, seems like a good fight to make. Whatcha think? Whoya like?
Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
More of a good thing for Porter than Thurman.
Porter wins and he is "back". Thurman wins and it is more or less expected.
That said, Keith by KO is what I'd guess.

Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
Good fight but I think Shawn Porter's come forward style is made for Thurman. I'm of the opinion that Thurman would systematically break Porter down and stop him late in the fight.

It's good for both of them.koolkc107 wrote:More of a good thing for Porter than Thurman.

It would be Thurman's best win.

Solid fight but I can't understand why they're not doing Thurman/Maidana. They're both Haymon guys and it just seems so obvious.

Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
From my understanding Marcos is the holdup from Marcos fighting anyone. I've seen Robert saying he's not interested in fighting til as late as 2016. It seems like he's getting a lil antsy about fighting & I'm seeing vague details of "getting back in the ring in summer", but he's doing more calling out of Danny then anyone from what I've seen too. I can't blame the guy. He just made a sh!tton of money. There'll be plenty of time to get hit in the head later. Enjoy yourself Marcos!!!jujigatame wrote:Solid fight but I can't understand why they're not doing Thurman/Maidana. They're both Haymon guys and it just seems so obvious.

No, his best win was his last fight.Horse wrote:It's good for both of them.koolkc107 wrote:More of a good thing for Porter than Thurman.

Dominated a fighter superior to Porter.

Guerrero is not a superior welterweight.koolkc107 wrote:No, his best win was his last fight.

Guerrero is overrated.

Styles make for a good fight I like the match up.

Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
What sounds better? A title shot or a eliminator to a title shot? If I'm Shawn I'm going for a title shot all day every day. Add in that it'll be on national tv, likely primetime tv & I'd be sold before the period was on the sentence. Assuming its in play I got lil doubt Shawn takes Keith up on the offer.fergusg wrote:"...possible [IBF] elimination bout between former titleholders Timothy Bradley Jr. and Shawn Porter [with the winner facing Kell Brook]"ReggieDiggs wrote:Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter

I don’t know realistic this fight is, because Porter is with Haymon, whilst Bradley is with Bob Arum… unless the bout goes to purse bids?
I think Tim is gonna be forced into a Deigo rematch, who I believe is the next guy on the list last I looked (felt like a demon touching a bible when looking at the abc belt org rankings btw).

No way Brook does to Ghost what he did to Porter.
As a matter of fact, pretty much the same reasons why Thurman would beat Porter is why Guerrero would as well.
Him (Shawn) going straight at Ghost would spell disaster for him.

I think your right......Brook will probably stop Guerrero
Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
Thurman will outbox the relatively crude brawler into submission, if Kell (who is slower than Keith) was able to catch Porter rushing in then I'm certain that One Time catches him.
I'll go with Thurman by TKO or UD

I do not see how Guerrero is better than Porter.
Alexander + Malignaggi > Berto + Aydin

Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
I don't think Brook is stopping anyone that Thurman couldn't.
I think you are slightly overselling Kell. Some folks had him losing that fight to Porter, it was close.
Meanwhile, Ghost has clear victories over similar (or slightly better) level guys like Berto and Kamegai

Berto and Kamegai are similar (or slightly better) than Porter? Are you out of your mind?

Sorry, just not a huge fan of Porter.
And again, one judge had that even and some observers thought Porter won.

Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
I think Thurman-Porter goes down pretty much the same as Keith's last fight with Guerrero, Shawn being outboxed fairly comfortably and being busted up along the way,I still think it goes the distance though,Porter won't be able to bully Thurman so that's his chances next to nothing
Its a good fight for both men though,Thurman's tough and can slug it out knowing he has KO power but I'm more impressed with his skills and temperament in the ring,he's as ready as he's ever gonna be for the big ones

Re: Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter
I would say that Kell has the edge on power , but Thurman has the edge on speed , can see Thurman cleaning up this division ,if Mayweather calls it a day .

No, he'd get KTFO worse than Josecito Lopez did.jujigatame wrote:Porter would beat Berto soundly.koolkc107 wrote:I think Berto beats Porter now.jujigatame wrote:Berto and Kamegai are similar (or slightly better) than Porter? Are you out of your mind?

As a matter of fact, I'd love to see Brook or Porter try Lopez.

Hey, I thought he was toast too, but after what he did to Lopez (who I respect highly) I rethought my position on Andre.SFW wrote:Lol oh hell no there are still people drinkin the kool-aid on Berto? Gots to say the nay no on Berto
